What is the stench I smell when I open chicken or meat?
EVERY time I open one of those sealed packs of chicken or pork it reeks. I'm told it's a preservative and what allows it to have a 2-week shelf life. I opened a pack of chicken tonight and had to throw it out. It stank so bad. Even after washing it. Honestly, Wegman's quality has really gone downhill. It's nothing like it was even 10 years ago.
