Any danger in holding off on fixing the exhaust manifold crack?

I’ve got the bloody tick. And it’s bad timing. Currently in the process of moving and don’t have the time or space to have the header swapped (would rather do it myself to save the money). I’ve heard of some guys running with the crack for a while but my dad mentioned to me my brother had an exhaust leak that melted through his gas tank. Obviously I’m not worried about my gas tank melting but what should I be concerned with when that exhaust is dumping extra hot air into the engine bay.

Since buying the P2 I’ve been extremely happy with it. The only tools it’s lacking or need improving I have on my Rebar. The combination of everyday P2 and the workhorse Rebar has been very nice. The problem? Now I’ve got the bug.

Since the obvious upgrade path is the Arc (now that the P4 is discontinued and hard to find new, everyone’s inflating the prices on them as well). I’m contemplating selling the P2 and Rebar that I have to get a single consolidated do-it-all workhorse. I really like the Free technology’s one hand-ability, so I’m not very interested in the Wave+ or Wave @.

Anyone have experience going from the P2 to the Arc and was the upgrade worth it?
