Need advice on writing about my space marine chapters fortress and home world

i know the general vibe i want both to have but i don't know what things are important to include. What i know for sure is that their home world is a feudal world where the chaplains would kidnap children in the night as recruits and the fortress i want to have a very gothic vampiric(not a blood angels successor) aesthetic (so practically just regular 40k) and for it to like be this thing in the distance that regular townsfolk fear and don't dare venture out to

so any help fleshing this out would be appreciated or just information i don't have that i should consider and write out thank you

Is my lieutenant too ornate?

Basically just what the title says

does my lieutenant have too much drip? aside from the left pauldron there's a specific reason for that

Wany to know if the chapter I've been making can work with established lore

Ok so I've been making a homebrew space marine chapter for a little while with a vampiric aesthetic going off the premise of recruiting from other chapters the same way vampires would turn people into their thrall. I have looked up a lot of ways I could make this work and fit within cannon but I'm still worried it doesn't, or is just too unrealistic to fit within the setting if anyone has any thoughts on how this could work better, if its already fine, or thinks I should just scrap it I'd appreciate it.

Edit: whoops misspelled want in the title mb😭
