Contract company screwing me over

I posted on here asking for advice about this situation a few months ago, but it’s still ongoing. I need some advice because I’m starting to feel really hopeless.

Basically before my last year of grad school I signed a contract with a well known contracting company in my area. They gave me a scholarship in exchange for an agreement to work with them for one year during my CFY. It’s their responsibility to place me within a school and I’ve been asking them since April for updates. I’ve gotten periodic updates but only after emailing my recruiter two or more times. The communication has been sparse and I have not felt supported or like they were treating placing me within the urgency they should. Now it’s July, most positions are filled or filling up, I’ve reached out to my network with no luck so far. If I choose to terminate the contract, to my understanding, I have to pay back the entire balance of the scholarship, which would deplete most of my savings. In the meantime, how long can I just sit and wait for them to find me something and not respond to my emails? I feel like I need to get out of this, but I’m not sure how. If they can find me something in the next two weeks, fine, if not, I’m going to have to pay these thousands of dollars back. I’m so unbelievably frustrated that I’ve wasted months I could have used to find a job waiting for them to find me something only for them not to be able to do anything for me. I’m at a loss. Any advice welcome. Thanks for reading all of this.

CF placement taking forever?

I signed a contract for my CF in exchange for a scholarship. Now they’re in charge of finding me a school placement, but it’s taking absolutely forever. I’m not sure why- schools holding out for direct hires, funding cuts, etc? I’m wondering if anyone else is having this experience/if this is normal. At what point should I cut my losses, pay the scholarship back, and apply directly myself? I’m obviously hoping to not so as it would pretty much deplete all my savings. This is in IL. Anyone else stuck waiting for their contract placement? Or CF placement? TIA

First time throwing up a hairball?

Hi, my cat is 3yo F domestic shorthair. Randomly yesterday she threw up a little bit of fur and clear liquid. No change in behavior and she went right to eat afterwards. She’s been drinking water and using litter box as normal. Overnight she threw up a hairball in pieces (small chunks of fur). So she’s now thrown up twice in 24 hours. I’m worried because she previously had an incident where she had to go to the emergency vet for delayed gastric emptying and throwing up, she wasn’t eating at all that time. She has never thrown up a hairball before. My wife mentioned that she didn’t brush her as much this month as she normally does. Should I be worried at this point? Should I take her to the vet or just continue to monitor? She still seems fine and is eating and drinking water. She also takes miralax every other day as recommended for the vet because she was not pooping often enough. Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Should I worry about not receiving my CF yet?

Hi, I just graduated and have signed with a contract company for schools. They gave me a scholarship for the past year with the stipulation that I do my CFY with them. I’m a bilingual SLP if that matters. Now it’s spring and they’re trying to set up an interview to place me in a school, but I haven’t had any interviews yet. They’re communicative via email but I just haven’t gotten any real leads yet. I live in the Chicago metro area. I’ve heard from my cohort that they’ve had a hard time finding a CFY position. Should I be worried that my company hasn’t found me a position yet? If they don’t find me one, they will ask me to relocate or to give the scholarship money back, so I really need them to find me something. When should I worry that they won’t find me anything, and that I may need to consider relocating? Maybe I’m overthinking this all, but any reassurance would be welcome.
