Creon shortage uk
I’m currently new to this journey and hoping someone can help. We’ve a shortage in the uk and I’m being given the 10000 units only I’m still under investigations between Gastroenterology and Endocrinology. My FE1 was low I’m having brittle blood sugars. I’ve already seen one Gastroenterologist but awaiting to see another due to the endocrinology team being in a different area, I’ve been referred to Gastro at another hospital to liaise with endocrinology.
While I’m waiting I am rationing these capsules I know we shouldn’t have to but due to shortages and trying to get the prescription, what foods don’t need as much Creon or is there another type of enzyme replacement therapy I could ask for ? I’ve already lost 2 stone during this journey and don’t want it to continue.
