Sleeping gear advice for hot weather

I'll be camping in the northeast for about 3 weeks this summer. 3 separate trips to varying destinations, but all in VT NH or ME in July and August. Looking like overnight lows will be down to the 50's at our northernmost site and then getting warmer as we will progressively be further south and out of the mountains some.

I'm afraid the sleeping bags we have will be way too hot. My wife and I both have NEMO Forte 20 bags. The more I think about this, the more it seems like we'll be packing them just to kick them off.

I have a pretty big 40 litre nelson rigg roll top bag that I strap to a rear luggage rack. Once our bags are compressed down i have some room left in it. Does it make sense to pack a light sheet? Do I need to go for a camping specific item or would a light bed sheet be appropriate? It wouldn't pack as small, but it would also be less to buy.

Our sleeping pads are Trekology UL-7's which claim an R7 insulation rating, but I can't imagine we'll lose a ton of heat with overnight temps between 55-75 degrees.

Lone Rider rack adapter plate

Not sure if this is allowed but I'll go with it. I just purchased a rack adapter plate from Lone Rider and inadvertently bought the wrong one. I bought the one for a standard GS, not a GSA, which there is a significant difference in the rear configuration.

If anyone wants it, either to run a motocase or as just a flat plate at the back to support soft luggage, I will sell it super cheap within the US. Would really just like to recoup like 20$ plus shipping. So figure 30 or 40$.

I'm gearing up for a trip and want it out of my small garage. If you can use it send me a message. It is brand new and comes with all the mounting hardware and instructions plus a codeable key.

Morabo vs Jattebo

Can anyone comment on both the long term comfort and the wearability of the Morabo's "Grann" leather? We are looking at doing a living room set with this series. We have two dogs and two kids. Kids are out of the "spilling everything" age, but still young. Dogs will hop up on the couches to sleep but do not chew or scratch anything.

We also looked at the Jattebo, as we both really like the higher-arm style sofas. I'm sold on that design, and really like the comfort of that series as long as the head rests are included, which we would do for each seat. My only hold up is that a 3 seat sofa and loveseat is $5k after taxes and delivery. The under seat storage would be very useful too.

With the Morabo I'd spend less than 1/2 the cost of the Jattebo.

I'm honestly split right down the middle. I could be convinced to spend less and go with the Morabo. I love the seating position, and the gray-green color. We'd grab matching ottomas as well.

With the Jattebo, the storage is a huge plus and the ability to wash the covers, with kids and dogs is also a home run.

Appreciate anyone's thoughts on these two.

Couple questions about Dry River Campground

Hi there. I have 5 nights booked at dry river campground this summer. We will have a small tent and will be on my motorcycle. If we set up on our site, is there any worry of things being stolen? I can lock some items up in my side cases, but our tent and camping set up has a good bit of money sunk into it. I'm assuming everyone at the campground would be more than respectful, but our site is close to that main highway. We have plans to hike for 2-3 days plus another trip on the bike. So at least 2 days we would be gone from sunrise onward.

Was also wondering if there is fire wood available, and what the conditions of the bathrooms are like.

Appreciate any input!

[WTB] Women's 7 or 7.5 Hiking boots

Looking for a decent pair of hiking boots for my partner. Doesn't have to be brand new, just in serviceable condition. Obviously the newer the better. Would like to stay under $100. Thanks!

Anyone want to critique my set up?

Bike is a GSA with aluminum panniers and top case. First camping trip for my wife and I. We've done a lot of traveling, but it has always been on smaller bikes where we would pack in a top case and stay in hotels/ motels. My goal is to get away for a few days, be relatively comfortable, and buy some decent gear that will both get me through this trip and be an investment into future trips. I am absolutely not trying to go hardcore minimalist. Looking to use the available space I have inside and on top of my panniers, without over doing it.

  • Tent: Big Agnes Wyoming Trail 2. Little big but I'll strap it to a pannier lid and I was able to grab one on clearance. Need to buy a ground tarp for it.

  • Sleeping: Trekology UL R7 sleeping pads + an inexpensive pillow. Anyone have any input on sleeping at 50-70 degrees? We will be in northern NH mid July, and the 2025 historical weather data is showing lows only down to 59 at night. Was thinking of getting some cheap packable blankets. I feel like even a 40* sleeping bag will be hotter than hell. Definitely welcome to input on this as I have not camped in 25 years.

  • Food: We will be about 20 miles from a general store. Thinking about grabbing sandwiches from there and some snacks. Kinda lame but eliminates the need for cooking gear and having to pack camp style food.

  • Coffee: I would like coffee in the morning and am okay spending the money and packing a jetboil or MSR system. Welcome to input on systems that are worth the money/ space and one that are not. The Jetboil java system just seems easy and one stop shopping.

  • Seating: Helinox high back chairs. Any input on these? We'll be hanging around and either hiking, or just relaxing/ reading/ for a day. I want to be relatively comfortable while I sit around and do nothing. I feel like I've researched camp chairs until I hit the end of the internet. Seems like the Helinox high back is the best compromise between packed size and features. Was looking at the Kilos Grand Peak highback but it seems bulkier.

  • Other stuff. What else am I missing? Is a sleeping pad pump worth the money? I saw the gigapump thing. Seems like a good investment for under 20 dollars. Any need for a small hatchet or anything to drive tent stakes in or cut up wood for a fire?

We will be in the white mountains at a somewhat primitive but definitely still in the woods campground. Is bear spray/ pepper spray worth traveling with? Anything else I missed that I should include? Anything that I'm out to lunch on?

[WTB] 3P tent. Vestibule or garage preferred.

Looking for a tent for motorcycle camping. Something to use as a "base camp" to head out riding or hiking during the day and return to at night. I'd prefer something with a vestibule or garage, but I recently saw the Kelty Noah fly that would also work to serve that purpose. I'm not backpacking so weight and size isn't a huge concern, but packed size is a moderate constraint.
