Year Qty Price (ea) Notes
1992 2 $82 $158 for the pair

> Pre-1996 design (front-facing Angel). Slightly smaller diameter and thicker than the modern fractional — the classic “gordita” format. 1992 mintage 119,000 BU. Second year of fractional Libertads (1991 was first).

RARE FEATURE PIECE

2026 ELEMENTOS MEXICANOS 2 OZ (.999 Ag, 62.206 g, 48 mm) — $350

Casa de Moneda de México art medal — NOT a Libertad. This is the Mexican Mint’s premier 2 oz art medal series, virtually unseen outside Mexico.

  • Provenance: Acquired in person at the Casa de Moneda counter on Paseo de la Reforma, CDMX on May 7, 2026 — original Hacienda recibo with CMM stamps included, redacted scan available.
  • Condition: Sealed CMM capsule still has factory protective film on both faces — never handled, mint-fresh out of the bóveda.
  • Specs: CMM product code 7-5466-002-0002, .999 fine, smooth edge.
  • Obverse: Sculptural high-relief Angel of Independence over the Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan, flanked by Palacio de Bellas Artes and Monumento a la Revolución, Popocatépetl + Iztaccíhuatl in distance. “MEXICO” rim lettering. Aztec calendar field.
  • Reverse: Eagle devouring serpent crowning a composition of the Pyramid of the Moon, Tonatiuh, Bellas Artes, and Monumento a la Revolución. Inspired by the 1823 Constituent Congress coat of arms (not the modern seal). Aztec greca stepped border.

> Limited annual production. Essentially zero supply on the US secondary market — this series doesn’t appear on APMEX, JM Bullion, or Provident. Try to find a comp with the original Hacienda recibo confirming mint-direct provenance, this is the cleanest example you can buy.

TAKE-ALL DEALS

  • Libertads Only (24 x 1oz + 2 x 1/2oz = 25 oz): $2,575 shipped CONUS
  • The Whole Lot (Libertads + 2026 Elementos Mexicanos 2 oz): $2,895 shipped CONUS (saves $30 vs. a la carte)

TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • CONDITION: Libertads all BU, no proofs. Some with beautiful patina err milk spots. Elementos Mexicanos sealed, protective film intact.
  • PAYMENT: Zelle, Venmo F&F, PPFF, BTC/LTC. No G&S.
  • SHIPPING: USPS via Pirate Ship, tracked. Free over $250. Otherwise $6 ground; $12 priority. Elementos ships in original CMM capsule inside additional padding.
