25+ V2S Suspension - Technical details?
Last week I test rode the Multi V2S, I really liked it... BUT... The suspension I didn't. I had it setup in dynamic mode with rider+passenger preload as I'm 95kg, but with those settings it felt a bit "floaty" and with not much feedback on the front end.
I currently own another "adventure tourer" with electronic suspension and I don't like it, specially because if you're not the weight the designers had in mind getting aftermarket springs, is pretty much impossible. At least the bike that I have now allows for manual preload adjustment on both ends, which even maxed out is not enough to get the sag in the ballpark, but its better than nothing.
I was 90% on buying the Multi, so I went back to the dealership to get more information about the suspension. As the salesman was explaining me the suspension I came to realize... There is no front preload!? Preload is only on the rear.
OK, look more closely at the rest of the settings and you can only select from soft to hard on the "damping"? There is no compression/rebound adjustments.
And then I realized only the left fork leg has an electrical connection, so what is the right fork doing? Is it a split function setup, with hydraulics on the left leg and a dummy cartridge and spring on the right leg? (That'd be awesome as then there is hope for aftermarket springs).
Does anyone know what is the target rider/passenger weight the bike is setup from the factory?
Honestly I'm 50% on this bike now, I'm too much of a suspension snob to live with a pogo bike.
