Adam Buenosayres by Leopoldo Marechal

Has anybody read the book? Is it worth it to read it? It is quite a long book so before I make the commitment to read it I want to know if it will be a worthwhile read

Has music ever elevated your experience of reading a book?

I am currently reading The Tunnel by William Gass and whenever I listen to The Perfect Wife by Nosound I feel like I am looking through the lens of Kohler deliberating his broken marriage.

Especially as some of the lyrics are so accurate to what goes on in the book:
“If guilt is even for a moment a feeling you have to fight / Are you proud of your destructive appetite?”
“In anger and hate you always perpetuate”
“You destroyed what we called home and everything inside”

This sounds exactly like what the unreliable narrator in The Tunnel would speak of his marriage. Listening to this song just kept reminding me of the quarrels and tensions that permeate through their house, and in a sense I also felt like it immersed me even more deeply into the vast world of this novel. Could this be called enhancing the experience of this book?

I was curious if any of you have had a similar experience?
