We had a (non-telus) service guy here for an unrelated job, and he pointed at our fibre op setup and was like "yikes -- these components are not rated for outdoor use!" He specifically said the thin white wire and the little white box are rated for indoor use only.

I don't know shit about anything, so I contacted Telus support. Telus said they won't look at photos but that I can pay $200 for a tech to come look at it, but I'd rather avoid that if I can.

Any help or insight is greatly appreciated!
