Another "sunrail needs improvement" post

So I went downtown today using the sunrail to go watch the Scotland/Morocco world cup game at a bar. I was just looking at the schedule to get home from the Church Street station. I can either leave before the game is truly over (it's halftime right now) to run to the station to catch the 8:02 train, or I have to wait almost an hour and a half later for the 9:20 train. This isn't conducive for practical use and this is why people say the sunrail sucks. I really wish we could have a reliable train option that ran more consistently through the evenings and weekends, which is when a lot of people are trying to go to events.

Watching Teen Mom OG for the first time

Are Cate and Tyler for real? I'm on season 8 of my first time watching the show and it's the year Carly is turning 10. For several seasons Cate has cried about Carly and Tyler has been angry about the situation. They just sat down with Dawn and she asked them "well have you made an effort outside of the visits? Sent letters or presents?" And they were like, "oh yeah all she knows is her birth parents are horrible at sending presents" and "how are we supposed to know what to send her if we don't know what she likes?" Call me crazy, but they could have asked B&T "hey does she like dolls? Disney princesses? Stuffed animals?" Or even just sent a generic present most little girls would be happy to get (like a friendship bracelet kit or something). They clearly put 0 effort into attempting to keep a good relationship with her parents. No wonder B&T aren't psyched about visits. Plus they wanted privacy from MTV and they don't want to comply with that clearly.

Did no one in their life call them on this besides Dawn? It's crazy to watch

I cried so much. The story hit so hard as an adult. I can't imagine watching my family be torn apart and then having to make the decision to leave behind Esther. I'm going to have to read the rest of Addys books to see how her story ends because it's been so long.

These books are so important to learning about even the bad parts of history and I wish more kids now a days read them!
