Struggling to regain fitness - what should I focus on first?
Hi team, I (30s F) am a fairly active person in my free time but I work a desk job and have been struggling recently with feeling properly fit. I’m super stiff, I have lower back pain sitting at my desk, my cardio needs improvement, and I don’t feel at my strongest in general. I want to improve my cardio (bike), strength, flexibility (yoga), and core strength for my back (Pilates) but this feels like too many things to focus on and I end up taking a random assortment of classes and not improving anything. Alternatively I go full on and do too much and end up with joint pain, overuse injuries etc.
Any suggestions on how to approach rebuilding my fitness more methodically? Should I pick one thing to focus on first and does it matter what?
I ride horses 2-3x a week and so realistically have time for 1 hr sessions 3-4x week. Any ideas, recommendations, experiences would be so helpful!
