Anyone played around with the EX60 configurator?
Props to Volvo. They've done a fantastic job of setting up the current EX60 to be competitive with the R2 launch edition
Before I start glossing the EX60, I will mention that Rivian is leaps and bounds ahead in terms of the software stack vs Volvo. Having said that
- Volvo is making all interior colors available at launch
- Destination fee is included in their build
- Includes all paint and interior colors at current cost with a bose audio system included
- $1000 for electrochromic roof and not tied to any packages
- 800V architecture and 400kW charging (Not sure how much of an advantage this will be as Rivian's 10-80 should still be off only by about 3-4 minutes)
- Digital rearview screen as an option (The current day LED glare is atrocious and having this option is good)
- Autonomy+ being included is a win, but the R2 config I want (Catalina Cove + Cloud interior) is only $250 cheaper than the Volvo with electrochromic window. Interested in test driving the Volvo later this month
- Costco discount should be available on Volvo whereas Rivian rightfully will exclude the R2 from any promotions
I will also provide the disclaimer that once Premium and Standard AWD are available, Volvo is no longer as cost competitive.
