Keep a running list in your notes file on your phone of places you've put items you don't use often. I often expect to remember where I put something because it makes so much sense to me at the time, but months later I can't recall that clever location. I use the title "Where Is It" and update the file when placing an item somewhere new. I can simply do a search in my notes file, and have no more frustrating hours-long searches for that perfect location I haven't remembered. It's amazing how often that has saved me

Asking for my sister who isn't a Redditor yet so I hope this is allowed.

A few months ago while her abusive STBX was away for the weekend, my sister quickly packed up what she could and left her home and the majority of her belongings. Unfortunately the timing was far from ideal because she works in real estate, which is taking a serious hit right now. She doesn't have any current closings in process, and needs a quick source of income to pay her rent and bills. We are helping as much as we can, and she knows she is welcome to come live with me- however I live on the west coast while she is on the east coast. Her (grown) kids and grandchild live nearby, and her business and clientele are also there.

She applied to temp agencies and hasn't had any success there yet. Are there any legitimate work from home job resources? There seem to be just so many scam websites that it's scary, and it's hard to figure out what is real and what is not.

It really seems so unfair that because of her ex's escalating behavior, she had to furtively gather what little she could and scramble to even find a place to rent, while her ex is comfortably occupying the home they built together.

They do have a mediation date, although it is not until mid July.
