Details for Medical Script for Upright MRI

I finally got my DMX completed. Unfortunately, my chiro wasn't able to visualize c0 c1 in lateral bending because anatomically, my boney palate was in the way ( my c1 sits very high), and my posture is terrible.

I am going to pursue an upright MRI to compliment the info from the DMX (cursory review by my chiro revealed left alar laxity because of overhang).

I'm Canadian. I'm navigating this solo with the help of my AO chiro. There are a grand total of ZERO MDs in Canada that even know what CCI is. I'll be begging my GP to fill out a requisition for an u/MRI so I can cross the border and get it (we have only 1 upright MRI in Canada and it's poor quality). I found an example script from a Facebook group that I was going to use, but I thought I would check with this group to see what exact details the script should specify (aside from "without contrast" and "with neutral, flexion and extension views").

I was offered a consult with Dr. Harshfield, who would order it for me. Is it worth me paying for a $250 (360 CAD) consultation for him to order it, and then another $250 USD to read it? The MRI is completely out of pocket for me (950 USD). My hope was to divert as much of my budget to treatment as possible.

Thoughts are appreciated!

ePICL efficacy

I'm reaching out to this community for some assistance and guidance on where I can find more information on the effectiveness of this treatment for CCI.

I'm specifically interested in what factors affect outcome - eg. stem cell count, degree of disability, age, sex, etc.?

Based on what's in the support groups, it's a mixed bag of experiences. I'm wondering if data has been formally collected, evaluated and put together somewhere?

What resources has this group used to help inform their decision?

Thanks in advance.

Any tips for movement associated with imaging?

I will be getting an upright MRI with flexsion and extension and a DMX shortly. Lateral bending is excruciating for me because of my counter rotated C2. I don't have much movement at all. I'm afraid I won't be able to do it, and my inability will affect things being visualized the usefulness, validity, and quality of the study.

How have you ensured mobility during the study?

Thanks

Experience with Pinnacle Upright MRI - Syracuse/Liverpool NY?

Has anyone in this community had their upright MRI with Flex/Ext and/or their DMX at this facility? Good experience?

I was told the site does diagnostics for a Regenexx site operating as Apex Rwgeneratice Centre.

I called, and apparently, they use the same protocols as their Latham (sister) site where Dr. Rosa operates out of. I would be crossing the border from Canada, and the Syracuse/Liverpool site is 4 hrs closer to me. Both facilities use a 0.6T FONAR. I am not sure about the equipment for the DMX.

I'm just wondering about the competency of the site and the quality of the scans.

TIA.

Laser Therapy

Hi!

I'm am looking to add laser therapy to compliment my UC adjustments to see if it makes a difference in hold times.

I'm new to all this and getting super confused, so I was hoping to solicit some perspectives and experiences from those who know a heck of a lot more than I do.

There are so many types - Shockwave, Softwave, cold laser, Bioflex, Laser type 3, laser type 4, MLS etc. I see MLS discussed quite a bit in forums. Because I'm exhausted from this condition, I was just going to jump into MLS but I cannot believe there aren't any providers that are accessible to me (I'm in Toronto and only found 1 about 1 hr away).

Can anyone point me to any resources about which is most effective for us?

If anyone is willing to share their thoughts about what is most effective/appropritate, or what they benefitted from, I would be really appreciative. Toronto recs also appreciated.

Many thanks.

Insomnia

Hi community,

I'm new here and relatively new to this space. I know many of you have been suffering with this for a long time and it literally brings me to tears because I now know what you all feel.

Wondering if any of you could share what's worked for you to sleep? I have severe insomnia. ...maybe 1-2hrs collectively. I get zero restorative sleep. It seems to be getting worse. Its such a vicious cycle that drops my tolerance for everything. I've tried meditation, cervical pillows, and night routines. It just doesn't seem to get better....it's progressed a lot. I'm at the point where I may ask for meds.

I would greatly appreciate any advice or tips.

Thanks in advance.
