9+ years of experience but failing interviews — what am I doing wrong?
I’m a female Salesforce professional with 9+ years of industry experience which has 8.5 years in salesforce domain, I have good technical knowledge, I work hard, and I’ve handled fairly complex projects, but I’m struggling badly with interviews right now.
I’ve recently interviewed with a few companies for Senior/Lead Salesforce Developer roles, and I’m getting rejected even in the first round or at companies that I honestly expected to be able to clear.
I’m trying to understand what I’m missing.
Is it:
The way I communicate my experience?
Not answering enough scenario-based questions?
Going too deep/too shallow technically?
Lack of architecture-level thinking?
Something completely different?
I’d genuinely appreciate advice from people with 8–12+ years of experience, especially Salesforce professionals who have gone through a similar phase.
Please be honest — what should someone with 9+ years of experience be doing differently to consistently clear interviews?
