PP prolapse
I am 11 weeks postpartum. At 3 weeks I noticed a bulge (think a stage 3) and I really had a tampon feeling. I took things more easy and saw a PT at 5 weeks. She wouldn't grade it because it was so early. She also didn't tell if I had a prolapse and which kind (really disappointed in this lack of information). Right now I am feeling heaviness down under and I still see a bulge in the entrance. I think it's a stage 2 bladder prolapse. I am doing some core exercises and try to not pressure my pelvic floor too much (more sitting and laying down, no constipation, I walk a mile a day in a slow tempo, not lift too heavy, I do some biking on an electric bike), but I don't see improvement the last month... I know it takes times, especially with breastfeeding but I really really hopes it goes away. Will this?
Some background information: before pregnancies I used to walk, lift heavy, run and bike a lot (marathons). I had my first child in May 2023 (emercency C-section due too breech position), second in January 2025 (VBAC, 45 minutes pushing, little tear), third July 2026 (also VBAC, 45 minutes pushing, really small tear). All babies were around 7 pounds. In between pregnancies I breastfed, walked and run a little (like 3-5 miles). I think I went on walks too soon too far after the last birth and lift too heavy. But we have 2 dogs and a toddler who I have to lift sometimes, I try to not do it if not neccesary, but it is inevitable. I did not take good care for my pelvic floor, until now it is too late...
I really want to just walk without symptoms. Running is not on my mind right now. I don't have to run marathons, but I do hope to run a half marathon again some day. I am also disappointed that we didn't took more times between pregnancies and in the lack of help we received from family. My husband is burnout sensitive and we had some problems in our home he needed to solve, so I had everything else to take care of. Right now he is stepping up more but I am afraid it is too late and that I damaged my body permanently. I really really hope to see more improvement because it is on my mind 24/7 and I hoped to enjoy my postpartum more
