Best sampler to use with an Octapad SPD-30

TL/DR: What’s the best/cheapest sampler to use for a live setting. Just occasional sounds triggered by an Octapad, don’t need to do loops.

The long version: I’m the singer in a nerd/comedy metal band that has original songs about Cthulhu, Cylons, Sleestaks, the game Portal, plus some parodies of classic metal songs made to be about the Great British Baking Show or Star Trek red shirts. Silly stuff, heavy music. As you might imagine, it’d be useful to be able to trigger samples during out set… for example a Sleestak hiss, or a Cylon voice. My drummer has an Octapad SPD-30. I’d like to find a sampler to allow him to trigger these during our show. I’m trying not to drag along my laptop to the chaos of our shows, so I’d love to hear recommendations for a stand alone basic sampler that would act as a repository for audio files to be triggered. I’m not super MIDI savvy. I can do basic recording in Logic Pro, but as far as actual samplers and sequencers, I’m a total noob.

I did some googling and a P-6 AIRA seemed like it might fit the bill. Does that sound reasonable? Anyone have any better ideas?
