Destroying their nest?

This morning I discovered our shed pigeons' nest a mess in front of the shed. I suspected that our neighbors did it because they have a hatred of our feathered friends. I checked the Blink camera and luckily you can see where the nest ended up and the eggs are visible on the ground. I back tracked a few hours until one egg appeared, but no humans around. Later another egg appeared on the ground. So the pigeons destroyed their own nest. They sat on it for a while. And there was something in the eggs, but I couldn't and didn't want to look.

They kind of done this before, but it was before they laid eggs. It was like they didn't like the construction or something. They make great nest too, I want to take a picture of their impressive nests but I keep forgetting.
