I was just there for the first time at the sunflower festival, where the fields were filled with massive stands of sunflowers.

How do they turn the fields around so quickly for pumpkins? I know my garden plants don't grow that quickly and fruit pumpkins in basically a month. Are the vines even in the fields at all? I swore they grow them in the fields and there's dead vines around them. Was it just hay and trucked in pumpkins from another field?

Asking for a friend of my family that's from a disadvantaged background.

Not going to add many details but there are threats of harm should she leave, he's into substance abuse and there are children involved. They are common-law thankfully. He's increasingly becoming unstable and I'm at a loss at how to begin here.
