Family Ring

Got engaged last night in our living room and it was absolutely perfect! My partner and I (after being together for five years and truly committing ourselves to one another) just realized that there’s no point in waiting and that we can make whenever we want be the perfect moment!!

He proposed with his late mother’s ring, with the permission of his father and brother. I never met her but I feel so lucky to wear a piece of her every day and share in this part of their family!! I love it so very much!!!

Lakewood Park Splash Pad

I suppose it’s my fault for not looking online ahead of time, but I tried to bring my little one to the splash pad today only to find that it’s closed for two weeks for maintenance. I understand that in order for these places to stay nice they need to be maintained, but I wonder why they decided to wait until May to do so. It makes more sense, in my mind, to do all large maintenance projects in April or earlier instead of opening the splash pad for 11 days, only to close it again for another 14!

Just wondering if anyone has heard of plans to repave the northernmost section of CR 175 that connects to Leander road! I wonder if maybe Georgetown technically ‘owns’ that section, but regardless, it’s quite possibly the worst road in the area with as much traffic as it handles!
