Motorola Signature Screen Brightness
I noticed that the Motorola Signature's display—even when the brightness is manually set to the maximum—isn't as bright as that of some other phones. In fact, Motorola's maximum brightness corresponds to only about 80% of the brightness on my Honor, for instance.
GSMArena notes: "We did our standard set of tests on the display and got around 471 nits of brightness by maxing out the slider. That's not particularly high, and you will definitely want to leave automatic brightness enabled when outdoors. That way, we measured around 1,518 nits in bright conditions. That's much, much better and more than enough to ensure a comfortable experience outdoors..."
That is correct. When you are outdoors with automatic brightness enabled, the screen brightness boosts to a level higher than the maximum achievable via manual adjustment. It would be great if the phone could reach that same level of brightness indoors—exceeding the manual maximum. In other words, it would be great if the screen could be brighter indoors as well. Hope Signature 27 will have brighter screen...
