I was playing Death Stranding 2, and i upped the graphics settings slightly from high to very high. 5 seconds later i heard a pop followed by the smell of smoke. My pc kept running and didnt turn off, the game ran as normal, which leads me to believe it wasnt anything essential like GPU or ram and instead maybe a peripheral like the one of the fans, but i really dont know where to even begin looking.

i turned everything off immediately, unplugged it all and ive taken it apart to try and find scorch marks but i cant find any on the mobo, the gpu and the fans dont have a burnt odor either. ive read that if a capicitor in the PSU went kaput it wouldve taken my whole pc out which leads me to believe that isnt the case. im really not sure where to even begin looking.
