HiBreak Pro / Pro Color owners: could you run one harmless command to check if the bootloader can be unlocked?
Hi all! I’m thinking of buying a HiBreak Pro Color to build a custom minimal e-ink device on, and the deciding factor is whether the bootloader can be unlocked. I can’t find anyone who has tried, so I’m hoping an owner can help with a quick check.
It only reads a setting and changes nothing
- Settings → About phone → tap Build number 7 times to enable Developer options
- Open Developer options and look for a switch called “OEM unlocking”
- Reply with whether it’s there and whether it’s greyed out. don’t turn it on, just check that it exists.
Option B: if you have a computer with adb
With USB debugging enabled, run:
adb shell getprop ro.oem_unlock_supported
adb shell getprop ro.boot.flash.locked
adb shell getprop ro.build.display.id
and paste the output. 1 on the first line would mean Bigme built the firmware to allow unlocking.
