I have been using hibreak phone for the last 8 to 10 months and I really like it as it perfectly fine smartphone for my needs.

There are few complaints but I really like my phone but in this community all are complaining about software but it's not bad. You can't expect monthly updates from such a new company. Even my moto give very late updates.

I think only critics are loud and the people who actually like the phone are very silent.

Hi all! I’m thinking of buying a HiBreak Pro Color to build a custom minimal e-ink device on, and the deciding factor is whether the bootloader can be unlocked. I can’t find anyone who has tried, so I’m hoping an owner can help with a quick check.

It only reads a setting and changes nothing

1. Settings → About phone → tap Build number 7 times to enable Developer options
2. Open Developer options and look for a switch called “OEM unlocking”
3. Reply with whether it’s there and whether it’s greyed out. don’t turn it on, just check that it exists.

Option B: if you have a computer with adb

With USB debugging enabled, run:

adb shell getprop ro.oem_unlock_supported
adb shell getprop ro.boot.flash.locked
adb shell getprop ro.build.display.id

and paste the output. 1 on the first line would mean Bigme built the firmware to allow unlocking.

Should I return my X4? I can get 20€ from the 104€ back without returning it, plus it comes with a case and screen protector. It’s the Chinese version, and I’ve been frustrated with the app. Is this a good deal, or would the reTerminal, Stiky, or PaperNano from M5Stack be better? I also have both Waveshare e-ink and RLCD for testing and put some firmware on it, so I’m not sure. It’s like getting the X4 Pro with an orange case and screen protector for 80€. I already have my Kindle 10th gen for reading, so I could use the 104€ for another deal, like the Bigme B6 or something with Linux and fast refresh.
