TW! Death

Unfortunately it’s been 10 days since she laid first egg and she passed away this night. I contacted vet on the second day and they said to just give her space and not disturb her. So I did that. She passed away this night, I’m so sad and I’ve been crying since yesterday when I realised that she won’t make it. Vet said she was too poorly bread and she exhausted all her resources to even try to lay second egg and use any treatment on her. Her tail literally almost disappeared in a span of couple of days and yesterday her belly bloated. That’s the only exotic vet in the area so I couldn’t get second opinion. I’ve freezed her so I can get her to a specialist to get preserved later.

Need your tips about repressing!

Long story short, I’ve got tons of pigments, pure cosmetic grade mica powder. Obviously they are made for makeup and I’ve been aiming to finish them because most of them look pretty much the same (white pearls and different shades green) - ik, they are different, but on eyes they look pretty much the same. I’ve been using whites as eyeshadows, highlighters and mixing them with body oil, and green ones as eyeshadows.

But! I think I’ll reach for them more when they are pressed, I already have a palette I’ve fully panned earlier, I think I can use it for them, so I’m curious about your tips and tricks for repressing. Are there any difficulties that I should be aware of? Any specifics about repressing mica powders? Would be thankful for your help! Attaching a photo of them from a marketplace where I got them from

I’m going to become a grandma… of an infertile egg!!

My dearest daughter, Kovbaska (which roughly translates to English as Sausage) is about to lay a second egg, but I thought I would go gray today when I found a freaking egg in her hiding place. Sorry for such a horrible photo quality, I was literally shaking in stress when I took this picture to send to my husband. That’s the first birth ever in my life. I told him she had eggs inside because she was getting rounder and rounder recently and I could clearly see two oval eggs through her belly, but he didn’t believe me!

P.S: she does not have any access to any of my male geckos so I’m 100% sure those are just slugs/duds/fat eggs or whatever they are called in English. Otherwise that’s a virgin giving birth and I should call the church
