DEBATE: Rumors that Mugler Angel is going back to its "original 90s fragrance"

DEBATE: Rumors that Mugler Angel is going back to its "original 90s fragrance"

As of a few months ago to now, It's been circulating on the internet, mainly because (as far as I know) of gossip about a woman (on that sl4vik hell of Fr4grantica, LOL) who said that Mugler Angel, now owned by Loreal and reformulated, reads: DILUTED AND WITH ONLY A FEW NOTES (I HATE AND REFUSE THIS ANGEL VERSION, BTW), and that Mugler Angel was going back to its original perfume from the 90s.

Unaltered Mugler Angel, before the L'Oréal's horrible reformulation.

Altered Mugler Angel, after the L'Oréal's horrible reformulation.

And now I wanted to know, alongside MANY, MANY PEOPLE, about this rumor that, IMO, seems to be A BIG FAT LIE. If you know more on this "gossip" or if it's really changing, tell more in the comments.

ICONIC MEME!!! 😂😜

CURIOSITY CHIT-CHAT: Perfumes of Carolyn and John

It's very well-known, the curiosity of "celebrity perfumes", the fragrances that artists use, etc. Lol. But I wanted to know more about the perfume that Carolyn and John (even crazy Daryl, lol) used on them and on their house (beyond the Coca-Cola and the dirty powder, ew, horrible). Xuxa, THE QUEEN OF ALL BLONDES, John's former fling in the 90s, said in an interview she was using Chanel No. 5 when they met.

Lovebirds: Xuxa and John F. Kennedy Jr. Such a cool, cute couple!

Xuxa talks a bit about Michael Jackson; yes, she met him too, and JFK. (Y'all need to know at least a bit of Brazilian-Portuguese; a charming, lovely idiom by the way!)

So cute of her to remember that! I know the story on Carolyn Egyptian Oil perfume and on John Dior perfume. But I wanted more. And yes, I already know about the Cuban fashion designer and perfume mogul Narciso Rodriguez's backstory on his inspiration from the Egyptian musk oil to create his super successful and loved perfume line. Both loved and used by men and women!

ABOUT DIFFERENCES: Yves Saint Laurent Opium EDT 2009 and Opium 1977, 80 and 90

L'Oréal's Yves Saint Laurent Opium Toilette version, 2009-now~2026

YSL's Opium, the first version bottle. Today this version is a rare and very expensive item!

Estée Lauder's 2012 re-edition of the original fragrances of Youth Dew from the 50s. Today's versions of YD are reformulated and don't look like the past version.

As everyone here on the forum knows, one of my favorite perfumes / fragrances, which I've used for years, is Opium by Yves Saint Laurent! I know many people don't like Opium because it's part of the Estée Lauder Youth-Dew family, and for that reason alone many people pass it up. LOL. But I wanted to know from you, based on your experience and knowledge, what the difference is between the Opium of 1977, which many people say is better crafted, denser, and with more "niche" nuances. I've heard a lot about the older version having better quality materials, and I know that this could be due to the price of things from then to now and the annoying IFRA. I know many people dislike and reject the 2009 OPIUM EDT, but I find it very well made and balanced, of course, within the possible standards. I find this version, which I've used for many years, a sensual and tender flanker. *ON MY SKIN* it's a less "abrasive" Youth-Dew (yes, Opium and Youth-Dew ARE VERY SIMILAR!!!!; I like them both, so no drama! Lol) with plenty of spices and incense. Youth-Dew, the vintage / original version (today's versions of it are reformulated and different), on me was a more DATED-scented, spices, cinnamon, incenses-florals, animalic, and balsamic fragrance). Of course as intense as and in a "certain percentage similar" to the original version. But I want to know from you, WHAT DIFFERENCE DO YOU FEEL BETWEEN THE CURRENT OPIUM AND THE OLD ONE?!?! Good morning and kisses from Brazil!

MORE INFO: Estée Lauder's Youth-Dew Amber Nude

Estée Lauder's Youth-Dew Amber Nude

One of my favorite perfumes is Estée Lauder's Youth-Dew Amber Nude, a perfume / fragrance in the steps of the now-reformulated and diluted Youth-Dew vintage 1950s. The scent was made in partnership with the legend himself, Tom Ford (his perfumes ARE TOO EXPENSIVE for my pocket, lol). For a while I have been trying to find it, but it's long gone because it's been discontinued IN SUCH AN UNFAIR WAY! I have already contacted Estée Lauder clients' contacts, and even though they were really polite, they redirected me to a wholesale website of theirs. Lol. I just wanted more info and details on what happened with the production, if anyone knows why they discontinued, and similar perfumes. Good afternoon and kisses from Brazil.
