SIBO from food poisoning?

So in 2020, I got food poisoning from chipotle. Went to a gastro, got tons of tests done, and was put on rifaximin. I didn't finish taking it because it made me feel horrible. I did get an at home breath test, but I was afraid it would make me sick, so I never did it. They "diagnosed" me with ibs and basically said "glhf". After 6 months I was able to eat semi normally again, but I didn't get mostly better until about 5 years after.

Now, 6 years later, I got food poisoning again (from left out potato salad) in June, and I've had watery stool, nausea, extreme bloating, and mild cramping since. The worst of the food poisoning was over within 5 days, and i never threw up. I will say that the food poisoning this time was not nearly as bad as the last, even though I didn't throw up either time. (I have emetophobia)

My only relief is zofran or imodium, and I'm almost out of the zofran I got from telehealth. When I'm taking imodium, i feel pretty decent, but it makes me constipated for 3 days. If I'm not taking it, I feel horrible and have urgency all day, and I'm basically peeing out my butt.

I'm 2 weeks into low fodmap, and I'm taking ibgard and psyllium husk, but I'm not seeing much improvement yet. Or, well, I kind of was until I ate 2 eggs a few days ago.

Have any of you gotten sibo from food poisoning? If so, were your symptoms similar? I really do not want to go to a doc and go through all of the stress of getting tests done again just for them to not be able to help me.

Tired and angry

I'm so tired of being sick. Literally 2 months ago, I was just starting to feel normal and start exercising and getting my life back after 6 years of PI IBS. Then I went and got food poisoning again. It's been over a month, and the only thing that is keeping me sane is Imodium. If I'm not taking imodium every 3 days, I'm peeing out my ass all day with cramps and nausea. I do not want to do this again. Not another day and especially not another 6 years. I'm 31 and have had stomach issues on and off my entire life, and I'm so sick of it. Just can't catch a break. Not even worth going to a gastro again. Last time I had so many tests and they gave me a sheet that said "how to deal with chronic pain and nausea" and basically said "good luck, have fun".

IBS and Food Poisoning

I'm on day 4 of food poisoning with only diarrhea. The first day, I had diarrhea every 20 minutes for 8 hours with mild nausea and cramps. I had a couple of bites of rice and did not wake up to use the bathroom at all that night. Day 2 I only went once in the morning and felt decent all day. I ate half a bag of saltines and a 1/4 can of chicken noodle soup, and I was up all night with nausea and diarrhea. Yesterday I only went once in the morning and I had half a banana and 2 crackers. Was up all night again with diarrhea. During the day I'm hungry and I only have stomach bubbling and bloating.

I know these foods can trigger ibs, but the past 2 years, I've been able to eat almost everything with rarely any issues.

The most annoying thing is that the second I lay down everything shifts, and I feel like I need to go asap, but once I stand up and sit on the toilet I don't need to go anymore. Rinse and repeat.

I've been taking zofran that's gotten rid of the nausea that I had the first 2 days, but when I take imodium at night, it does nothing.

When I had food poisoning 6 years ago, I was miserable for months, and it took years to get back to semi normal. Back then, I waited a week to see a doctor, and nothing they prescribed helped.

Since I'm on day 4, should I go to urgent care? Or do yall think this is just my IBS making the diarrhea last longer? Usually, if I have diarrhea one time, my stomach takes a week or 2 to fully go back to normal, but imodium stops it instantly.

I'm really just tired of being up all night and worried that its going to randomly start getting worse at this point. Haven't had a fever, and I haven't been having diarrhea throughout the day. Maybe it's getting better, but just super slowly because of my ibs?

Suffering

It's 4am, and I feel so sick that I just wish I were dead. I was stupid 2 days ago and ate egg/potato salad that sat out for 6 hours. I knew it was a risk, but I did it anyway. In 2020, I got food poisoning from Chipotle, and it ruined my life. Was horribly sick for months and 6 years later, and I'm still not quite fully back to normal. I can't believe I did this to myself.

I have been having diarrhea for the past 2 days. The first day i went 15 times, and I only had mild nausea. All day yesterday, I felt pretty good and only went 3 times, so I thought I would be safe to eat a little. I ate half a pack of saltines throughout the day and 1/4 a can of chicken noodle soup. Now I'm so nauseous, and I've been in the bathroom 8 times in 5 hours. I have major emetophobia, so I've just been having bad tremors from panicking. I'm trying to stay calm, but it's hard.

I'm so scared this stupid mistake is going to ruin my life again just when I was starting to get back to normal. I really hope I feel better tomorrow.

I'm so tired of pooping and just want to feel good enough to sleep :(

Edit: I'm also so upset about the zofran I was prescribed. I was prescribed it yesterday, but my pharmacy won't get any in stock for 2 more days. Ughhh
