Anyone decided to leave an established relationship after realizing how much it complicated your life?

Basically what the title says. After a burnout from which I'm still recovering, I'm starting to realize that some of the closest relationships in my life are very energy-draining. Sometimes we focus too much on simplifying things but what about simplifying relationships or even letting go of them in order to live a simpler life? I know this isn't a relationship advice sub, but I'm just wondering if anyone has been through the same realization and how they dealt with it.

I'm not talking about casual colleagues or people you've only known for a few months, but rather established long-term relationships.

Note: I have no martial arts/fighting background.

I recently became interested in Kyokushin and tried a few classes at a local dojo. They practice Kumite once a week for half an hour. The other classes are either physical preparation, shadowboxing (not sure this is the right term here, sorry if it isn't), and there's another half hour for kata.

I liked the vibe of the dojo and the people, but I read that Kumite should be part of every (or at least most) Kyokushin classes.

I personally don't mind the class structure as I'm a total beginner and definitely need conditioning first, but is this a red flag?

Thank you
