Hey ladies, I need some perspective on a situation with my boyfriend.
We are in a long-distance relationship and haven't met in person yet. He explicitly asked me how much money I needed, and I gave him an exact total that covers my rent and my basic living needs for the whole month.
After a bunch of back-and-forth about bank transfer issues, he sent me a screenshot of the payment attempt and the amount he put in is way less than what I explicitly told him I needed. If I take what he’s trying to send, almost all of it will go straight to my rent, leaving me with practically nothing for my basic survival for the rest of the month. He knows how conversions work, so this wasn't an accidental math error.
What makes it worse is that right before this, he gave me the whole "I'm your man, I'll take care of you, you don't need to worry" speech. But then he turns around and tries to send a fraction of what he asked me for.
How do I address this directly without accepting breadcrumbs or letting him slide on a promise? I am not going to struggle through the month on what he's sending. What’s the best way to handle this response?
