SM ghosted me after asking for references and a sample payslip.
After 3 weeks of anxiety and waiting, I finally got their rejection email. I am really appalled by their process. Initially, the HR was so kind, pero as soon as I sent in the sensitive documents they requested, radio silence.
I am coming from an FMCG company so this process feels incredibly unprofessional. What’s more unbelievable is that the HR (or whoever did the reference check) actually asked my character reference if they were interested in working for SM instead!
The whole experience felt very off and in poor taste. Anyway, I guess I dodged a bullet.
