HR Background investigation (With pending NLRC case)

Do you guys think na kapag nag BI yung inaapplayan mong work, mine-mention ng former employer mo na my pending case kayo with NLRC?

Hindi ko dinisclose na my pending case since meron naman akong COE.

I think nag BI sila, is it possible na sinabe ng previous employer ko na my kaso?

Edit: constructive dismissal yung case

SILENCE MEANS YES?

Question po:

Good as an individual but not as a team lead

What to do with an employee na senior level. Magaling sa individual work per as head of a business unit, hindi magaling.

Magaling kumausap sa client. Clients like her and look for her.

Proper documentation, development of processes.

Pano ba gagawin dito.

Fresh Grad applying for Labor Relations Specialist — any tips for my initial interview?

Hi everyone! 👋🏻 Fresh grad here and I have an upcoming initial interview for a Labor Relations Specialist position at a well known financial services company.

I’m a BS Psychology graduate and this will be one of my first interviews for an HR/Labor Relations role. I’m honestly excited but also pretty nervous since Labor Relations is not something I have a lot of professional experience in yet. 😅

For those working in HR, Labor Relations, or those who have experience interviewing for similar roles:

  1. What questions should I expect during the initial interview?

  2. What Labor Relations topics/labor laws should I at least review beforehand?

  3. What do employers usually look for in a fresh grad applying for an LR role?

  4. Any tips on how I can present my Psychology background as relevant to Labor Relations?

  5. And generally, what should I know or prepare before the interview?

Would really appreciate any advice, tips, or even things you wish you knew before your first HR/LR interview. 🥹

Thank you so much!

ang mga Chinese Businessmen or Company Owners ba ganito talaga?

Chinese Businessmen are know for being cheap or kuripot. But medyo frustrating lang na may mga parte talagang ayaw nilang gastusan or sadyang aabusuhin muna nila kasi libre?

For Context: I work as a Recrtuitment Assistant sa isang Construction/Manufacturing Company. Ofc I help the company grow through hiring capable candidates, and of course when it comes to selecting candidates gusto nila yung aside sa may exp gusto nila yung pasok sa industry ng company para hindi na mahabang turuan. I've been using Indeed, BossJob, Jobstreet, and Facebook all for FREE. And yes of course may mga applicants kang makukuha but hindi sya ganun karami if you won't put some money on it para maging more visible sya sa mga job hunters online.

Gumagana ba ang face card during interview?

Hi I just wanted to ask since I'm just curious about hr interviews. Ask lang if kahit hindi ka ba magaling sa mga answers during interview since attractive maganda/gwapo ka eh pasok ka pa rin sa standard nila? Like officially hired ka na?

Fresh Grad applying for Labor Relations Specialist — any tips for my initial interview?

Hi everyone! 👋🏻 Fresh grad here and I have my initial interview tomorrow for a Labor Relations Specialist position at a well-known financial services company in the Philippines.

First day at my First job = so overwhelmed

Went to the first day of my first job today and honestly felt like crying because everything was so overwhelming. I started doing HR work—like fixing 201 files and such—without any orientation or proper onboarding. It feels so weird being thrown straight into the fire, and not knowing what I'm doing half the time is brutal.

On the bright side, some of my coworkers are genuinely kind and approachable when I have questions. I managed to survive Day 1, but our HR manager has a reputation for being strict and demanding, and I'm stressing out about how that's going to go.

What tips would be best for a fresh graduate like me operating as an HR generalist on a project-based position or first job tips in general?

May laban ba talaga ako sa termination ko?

Throwaway kasi ayoko makilala 😭

I already talked to a lawyer and I have an NLRC case/process going on, but honestly this has been bothering me so much and I just wanna hear other people’s opinions.

I worked for a BPO for a little over a year. I got transferred to a newly launched account. Since bagong account siya, wala kaming dedicated trainer, so most of what we had to follow came from the training manuals/materials they gave us.

Eventually I got put on preventive suspension and received an NTE because management accused me of “manipulating” productivity/closure numbers. The thing is, yung process na ginagawa ko, which they’re now calling manipulation, was actually in the training manual. So from my understanding, I was just following the process that was given to us. (Prior to this wala kahit coaching)

There wasn’t also any written rule that specifically said we couldn’t do it or that doing it would be considered misconduct.

Apparently, management wasn’t fully aware either of how the system actually worked or how that process would affect the numbers. So something that I thought was just part of the normal workflow ended up being treated as me manipulating the metrics.

I explained this in my NTE and said I had no intention of manipulating anything. I genuinely thought I was following the correct process based on the materials we were given.

Despite that, they still terminated me for alleged misconduct. 🥲

I already consulted a lawyer about it and one thing they told me was that even if, hypothetically, the employee actually intended to manipulate the metrics, the fact that there’s no rule saying that particular act/process isn’t allowed doesn’t automatically mean the employer can just terminate the employee. There still has to be a valid ground for dismissa.

Now I’m just wondering if I’m looking at this too emotionally because obviously I’m the one who got terminated 😭

I don’t wanna give the exact process, company, account, or dates because there’s a chance someone from work could recognize it.

But based on what I described, do you guys think may laban talaga ako? Or am I missing something that could make the employer’s side stronger?

Would especially like to hear from anyone who’s dealt with an NLRC case or Philippine labor law before. I’m honestly just trying to calm my brain down while waiting because grabe ang hirap mag-overthink HAHAHA

HR Policies for Managers, Department Heads

I know that under the labor code, managerial employees are not entitled to OT, etc. These people are not paid per hour of work rendered, rather on their output and for their brains. These people are also expected to render work beyond the regular working hours if necessary without additional pay.

What are the HR/payroll rules for these people? Are they required to abide by the company's hours of work or are they allowed to come in late without any deductions for late or undertime?

To HRs, for you, what would somehow mitigate, if not resolve, the "matumal" job market rn (PH context)?

What do you think is the best measure to address the rising unemployment rate in the PH? ? Do you think it will take long before we can achieve less worries about unemployment?

I posted on this sub because I think HR ang pinakahasa sa gantong usapin haha curious lang ako (as someone na ilang buwan na pero unemployed pa rin)

Salamat po! ❤️🙏🏻

Context:
This boss has an EA and sila nagbibigay samin ng interview date and time kung kailan siya avail pero MADALAS HINDI NASUSUNOD. Laging late yung animal, kesyo makikipagmeeting muna, or di agad pupunta sa office for whatever the fucking reason is. Walakompake. SO FUCKING UNPROFESSIONAL.

Nakakapikon.

Ontime pumupunta applicants ko, ikaw ang kupal.

Advice if I should let the HR know na I'd like to withdraw my application.

This is a BPO company po,

So I applied in Concentrix, we discussed job offer na rin ganyan and received an employment agreement, pero the status of my job application on their workday shows "job offer in progress"

Now I recently received an offer from a different company and I already signed a job offer to them.

Now my questions are:

  1. Should I let Concentrix know na I like to withdraw?

  2. Since I have not signed a JO to them and chose to withdraw, would I get blacklisted sa kanila?

Hope to hear a response from you po!

Nakakatakot daw as an hr yung wage increase..
