my first june on solar

it was a wobbly start but in the end I am very impressed and happy with my system, 16kw array split across my east, north and west side of roof. 10kw inverter and 9kwh battery, in papamoa. the few truly dark cloudy days i was still mostly covering my house demand, just not able to fully charge battery, there were several rainy days with lighter cloud where it managed to charge enough to cover the evening with minimal overnight pull from grid.

The sigen ai mode works quite well, it decides on its own to export in the morning with excess pv instead of charging to take advantage of the better export rate, but it must look at weather reports because a couple times it decided to charge, i assume because it calculates it wont fully charge if it exports till 11am

who turned off the sun?

I just finished my first full month on solar and I was pretty happy, 1.19mwh generated, 700kwh exported and only 7kwh pulled from the grid, almost off grid! But along comes the first day of winter and for the first time my (9kwh) battery did not fully charge so by midnight I was drawing from the grid and today shitty weather again so barely enough to meet the house demand, no chance of charging the battery. So I guess that is normal for June? unless you have a massive roof and way more panels
