Updated guide for Coinbase users

You can still use Coinbase to pay for your order, but the process is a bit more involved than it used to be.

This is because Coinbase no longer supports direct merchant payments for individuals outside the United States. As a result, transfers are not handled through Coinbase Commerce anymore.

That said, Coinbase still works fine for sending payments through our official store using the CryptPay gateway.

Below is a full step by step guide, including screenshots provided by a community member. Credit to them for putting this together since Coinbase is not available in my region personally.

Free 4-Month Key for Users Affected by Renewal Issues

Some of our resellers are currently having payment gateway problems, which means a number of users are unable to renew their memberships right now.

Sorry about the inconvenience. I'm already working with the resellers to get everything resolved as quickly as possible.

If your key expires within the next 14 days, I've got you covered so you can keep using the app without any interruption.

Please open a ticket on the official store and include:

  1. The last 6 characters of the key that expires within the next 14 days.
  2. A screenshot or short video showing the error on the reseller's website.

Once verified, I'll provide a free 4-month key with the same device limit as your current one.

If you'd rather renew immediately, you can purchase a key through the official store using crypto.

You can also use the beta version with "BETATEST" as your key in the meantime.

Syncler Desktop Alpha Testing Is Now Open

The desktop app is now ready for alpha testing.

While some features and sections are still under development, you can already:

  • Download and install the desktop app from our beta website
  • Add and manage third-party accounts and packages directly within the app
  • Browse and play sources using the built-in player

If you're already using the Android beta and have everything configured, there's no additional setup required. Just sign in with your account and you're ready to go.

New users can follow the setup guide linked below to get started.

A huge thank you to everyone on Discord who has been testing the alpha builds over the past few months. Your feedback, bug reports, and suggestions have been invaluable and have helped shape the desktop experience from the beginning.

Please keep in mind that this is still an alpha release. You may encounter bugs, crashes, or incomplete features. Early feedback is incredibly helpful and will continue to guide development as we move toward a more complete release.

Use code BETATEST to unlock all premium features during the testing period.

Known issues

  • macOS: If the app is blocked on first launch, go to Privacy & Security and choose “Open Anyway.”
    • Windows: You may need to manually allow the app if Windows flags or removes it after download.
    • Linux: Install Flatpak first; after that, opening the .flathub file should work. I’ll document these steps properly later—feel free to look them up for now.

Syncler v2.0.1 - Provider-managed accounts, easynews/deepbrid integration, new modern UI to manage third party accounts and some fixes

This update introduces provider-managed accounts, making it possible for package developers to integrate with third-party services without having to handle account logic themselves.

As a result, support is now available for services like Easynews and Deepbrid through community-built provider packages, with more integrations expected to follow. Big thanks to the developers behind these provider packages for building them despite the documentation being a bit rough around the edges. I’ll be improving the docs when I get a chance, but your work made this release possible.

  • New: Modern UI for third party account management
  • New: Provider package managed accounts
  • Fix: New Simkl users with blank profile experience continue watching error
  • Fix: Exoplayer ff/rw settings should be in seconds instead of minutes
  • Fix: Stale cache is not cleared in some cases
  • Fix: Playback fails for sources with headers

Provider package managed accounts

Providers may declare third-party accounts that users can configure inside the app. Accounts can be used to inject authentication headers, query parameters, cookies, or other values into requests. This approach centralizes credential management and enables seamless synchronization across services. Provider package–managed accounts can be found under Settings > Third-party accounts > Provider package managed accounts. Note that if no installed provider packages use accounts, this section will not be displayed.
