11 months post-op

SW: 333.2 - CW: 178.4

It honestly blows my mind. I realize now, looking back at pictures of myself, just how much my mental health and self imagine made me not see how far I had taken my health.

Before surgery, my therapist and I worked weekly on self imagine and worth to set myself up better for life-long success. It's still very much a work in progress and will forever be a struggle, but the deep seeded (not great at all) thoughts aren't as strong and I thank my therapist and support system for being patient with me and the process thus far and for the future.

I got the surgery because of health complications and I've never felt better. I have a fairly physical job and the stamina I have as well as the ability to move faster is wild.

I, along with many, thought this surgery would put me in the small percentile of unsuccessful post-op results and I couldn't have been so wrong. The results have made me feel so much better, and I'm sure that the confidence will come with time.

Thank you for taking the minute to read and I hope everyone is well and working the best they can for their best life and selves 🫶🏻
