Thoughts on Middle-Grade Book Cover

Thoughts on Middle-Grade Book Cover

Hi everyone! I recently published my first book, a Christmas-themed middle-grade story about two boys: a bully who has only played the role of king in every school nativity play, and a new transfer student who becomes the target of that bullying. Enter a new drama teacher, who completely flips the script, changing the boys' world upside down, and the story explores how the two will handle the chaos that ensues. Besides being a writer, I'm a huge reader, and I totally judge books by their covers and blurbs. I hired an illustrator to design the cover and worked hard to make it look like something that I would actually pick to read myself.

I'd love to know your thoughts on the cover and the blurb. Specifically the following:

  • Thoughts on the cover - Does it catch your eye?
  • Thoughts on the blurb - Does it make you want to read the whole story?

You can find the book in both paperback and Kindle versions on Amazon. You can also find it on Goodreads if you need more information.

A question for Sri Lankan men

Hi, I'm a writer and wanted to know a guy's perspective on a certain subject for one of my upcoming books. The question is, would you ever marry a woman who'd previously been a s*x worker, but who's now fully reformed and trying to make a new path for herself? All answers are welcome. Just be honest and give your authentic opinion, imagining you have actually been faced with this question. I want to read as many diverse perspectives as I can before deciding the direction of the plot. Thank you!
