Hey guys i am working for an indie dev as a composer and instagram comments got into my head
I posted part of a boss music demo to advertise the game with a click bate title like "is this good boss music?" and a lot of people seemed to like it. Some of the comment were helpful but some seemed to miss the point of what i tried to invoke in the listener. I know its hard to imagine without gameplay but now i just kind of feel like a bad composer. They wrote that its too slow with the half time drums and doesnt have any urgency. I wanted it to have this large, mightier than you, inevatable feel. My main inspiration was risk of rain 2, star wars, and generic hard rock music. The dev and I are still happy with it but theres this thought now in my head "what if the players wont like it?". Anyways what do you guys think?
Edit: i dont really understand why people downvote me when im genuinelly stuck in my work and ask for help from people who are interested in gamemusic
