Weekly Flipper Hacks & News Roundup — July 5, 2026

Hey folks! Here is your weekly dose of the latest Flipper Zero developments, custom firmwares, and app updates from the hacking scene. Keep your dolphin fed and dangerous!

🐬 Custom Firmware Updates

RogueMaster Firmware Update (RM0702-1734-e52ae977)

Released: July 2, 2026 The legendary RogueMaster firmware ;) has pushed another major wPlugins update, keeping its massive ecosystem fully synced with upstream changes from OFW and Unleashed.

  • Universal Remote: Added new TV & AC protocols. This includes the newly integrated Hitachi codes (upstreamed from OFW PR 2826 by minchogaydarov) and Thomson TV codes.
  • Sub-GHz Upgrades:
    • Added Alutech_at_4n and Nice Flor S protocols acceleration.
    • Sommer fm2 protocol under "Add manually" now correctly uses FM12K modulation (use this if the default configuration fails on your setup).
  • UI/UX & Miscellaneous: Added a Debug status display for the desktop clock.

🎮 New Apps (FAPs) & Community Ports

Geometry Dash v0.1 for Flipper Zero

Developed by: goosedev72-projects The highly addictive rhythm platformer is now officially ported to the Flipper's monochrome screen! It has been packaged with the latest RogueMaster plugins bundle and is playable directly from the Applications menu. Expect tight jumps and low-latency button response on your F7.

🔌 Hardware & Modules

Multi-Radio GPIO "Backpacks"

The trend of 2026 continues to lean heavily into consolidating hardware. DIYers and hardware shops are shifting away from single-purpose dev boards to unified "Backpack" style attachments. These combine WiFi (ESP32) + CC1101 + NRF24 into a single GPIO-mounted unit, allowing multi-band sniffing and wireless attacks without swapping boards.

Weekly Flipper Hacks & News Roundup — June 21, 2026

Hey fellas,

It's Sunday, and you know what that means: time to grab your Flipper, sit back, and look at how the scene is cooking (or in some cases, burning). Here’s your weekly injection of raw Flipper hacks, firmware updates, and scene drama.

🎭 SCENE DRAMA: The "Open Call" Backlash & Community Neglect

A massive wave of discontent is sweeping through the developer community. The folks at Spicemesh tech blog published a biting Open Call to Flipper Devices, calling out Flipper Devices for absolute radio silence.

  • The Problem: Flipper Devices has largely abandoned community management (Discord and Telegram are left unmoderated/unattended).
  • PR Stagnation: Pull requests on the official repository are piling up, and the Flipper Application Catalog (FAPs) has barely anyone left to approve new submissions.
  • The Diverted Focus: Community members are pissed that Flipper Devices is begging for free labor on their new Linux-based project "Flipper One — we need your help" while actively letting the current Flipper Zero ecosystem rot.

💾 OFFICIAL FIRMWARE: OFW 1.4.2 Rollout & Bug Fixes

Despite the drama, there are some fresh official updates on the main branch. If you are running the official firmware, OFW 1.4.2 is out with some overdue fixes:

  • BadUSB: Fixed key combination handling and Windows example scripts (no more random skips).
  • HID Remote: You can now configure which mouse button to use in the built-in autoclicker.
  • iButton: Added write support for TM01x Dallas ID keys.
  • LF RFID: Animal tags (FDX-B) now properly display country names when read.
  • CLI: General improvements including a new buzzer command to annoy your roommates directly from the console.

Check the Official Release Notes for the full changelog.

🐽 SHAKING UP THE HARDWARE SCENE: M5PORKCHOP v0.1.8

If you're tired of Flipper-only tools, the M5 Cardputer scene is exploding right now. The hybrid packet sniffer and RPG tool M5PORKCHOP (v0.1.8_heapcampf) just dropped!

  • It turns the cheap M5 Cardputer into a gamified, badass Wi-Fi/Bluetooth packet-sniffing pig.
  • Features a ridiculous retro console RPG vibe, where sniffing packets actually levels you up.
  • Since Flipper development is stalling, more and more hackers are flashing their Cardputers with this beast as a parallel EDC tool.

🐬 CUSTOM FIRMWARE STATUS: Momentum & Unleashed

  • Momentum Firmware: While we wait for a massive mainline release, the team is actively pushing daily dev builds on the Momentum-Firmware Repo leading up to mntm-012 stabilization. Check their dev builds if you want the absolute cutting edge.
  • Unleashed Firmware: unlshd-089 remains the most solid rock for Sub-GHz experimental ranges and NFC emulation without artificial limits.

What are you flashing this week? Are you sticking with the Zero, or are you looking at alternative hardware like the Cardputer or the teased Flipper One? Let's discuss below!

Brought to you weekly by /u/t4c_23. Stay wild.

Official Announcement: Quantum FW is banned on this subreddit (It's a scam)

Hey everyone,

We are officially banning any advertising or sales promoting "Quantum FW" for the Flipper Zero.
(discussion will be okay for now, may change if discussion leads to trying to sale)

To be completely direct: in 99% of all times it is a total scam, you pay and will get nothing or the old leaked fw.

In the other 1%, yes there is a "real" quantum FW which promotes to be special. Do not waste your money or risk your device on closed-source, paid firmware that promises features it cannot deliver. The FW was complete reverse engineered and there is not much special.

If you are looking for actual research-focused development or advanced Sub-GHz tools, stick to trusted, open-source alternatives. Here is what you should use instead:

  • ARF Firmware: A research-focused project optimized for automotive systems. You can find it on the D4C1 Labs GitHub.
  • ProtoPirate: The experimental rolling-code analysis toolkit app (.fap). Check out the official repository at the ProtoPirate Git

Any posts or comments trying to sell or push Quantum FW from this point on will be removed, and offenders will be permabanned.
Keep it safe and stick to verified open-source projects.

Regards
t4c

Weekly Flipper Hacks & News Roundup — June 7, 2026

Hey r/flipperhacks,

Here is your weekly update on what's actually happening in the Flipper hacking and development scene right now (June 1 – June 7, 2026). No fake rumors, only verified updates with sources.

1. RogueMaster Firmware Updates (June 4 & 6, 2026)

RogueMaster pushed two critical updates in the last 7 days (RM0604 and RM0606). These updates keep the custom firmware fully synchronized with the latest upstream Unleashed and official codebase changes. They automatically recompile and verify all integrated .fap plugins, ensuring that your custom tools remain stable and don't brick on modern system stacks.

2. Official Daily Builds Refinements (June 6, 2026)

Automated daily builds for Flipper Zero had fresh updates pushed as of June 6, 2026 (02:49 UTC). These automated pipelines maintain the bleeding-edge test releases for developers tracking RPC and Sub-GHz refinements. If you develop custom FAPs, make sure your build targets are aligned with these latest branches.

3. Flipper One: The Summer 2026 Speculation

Community discussions have flared up again regarding the leaked developer roadmap pointing toward a potential "Summer 2026" developer preview of the Flipper One (the Linux-based successor).

  • The Reality: Seasoned researchers and developers on r/flipperzero warned this week that there are zero official specs or price confirmations from Flipper Devices. It remains in the prototype/vaporware stage. Do not fall for unofficial pre-orders or scam listings claiming they have stock.

4. Hardware and App Focus: Pricer ESL Hacks (TagTinker/PriceIR)

Analysis of the recently highlighted TagTinker / PriceIR app continues to dominate research threads this week. It uses the Flipper Zero’s Infrared transceiver to communicate with Pricer Electronic Shelf Labels (ESL). Security researchers are dissecting the reverse-engineered IR protocol, illustrating how retail systems rely heavily on "protocol obscurity" rather than cryptographic authentication for e-paper price tags.

What are you currently flashing or hacking? Let us know in the comments!

Supportanfrage: TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14 - Gen8 Kein Sound mehr

Hi,

I have a TUXEDO InfinityBook Pro 14 - Gen8, and two days ago my sound started making a weird crackling noise and then stopped working altogether. Since then, the sound hasn't worked at all, and I can't see any sound devices listed.

Reboots didn’t help. Unplugging the laptop and holding down the power button for 15 seconds didn’t work either. The kernel is 6.17.0-119029-tuxedo.

The current kernel was what caused the problem in the first place, so I tried the old one. No luck, as you might imagine. What else do you need from me, or can you already tell me how to fix this bug, which I’m sure you’re aware of?
