No longer able to connect to Vanguard 401k

Connection to Vanguard 401k (aka My Vanguard Plan or Ascensus) has never been great. I manually connect and then it disconnects so after. But since last week I can no longer connect at all, so my 401k can’t be tracked.

Is there any background info on this?

Desktop speaker stands - foam vs plastic

Hi! I use a pair of Q Acoustic speakers plugged in to an Audioengine N22. I love the way they sound, no complaints. But I want to know if changing the stands will negatively impact the sound.

Right now they’re sitting on thick foam, angled up at my ears, just something I ordered off Amazon. again, sounds great to me but his do these things attract dust that is hard to get off. I have a 3D printer and I enjoy designing and printing stuff to improve my desktop setup. If I change from foam to printed PLA plastic, will the sound definitely get worse? Just curious before I spend a bunch of time and filament on this.

How much space do you put around components?

As simple as it sounds: when designing a 3d printed insert, how much space do you put around components? Cards, tokens, etc.

While torrenting, how to block malware IPs, not just alert

Hi, I tried to figure this out on my own but couldn’t sort it out.

I have a Mac Mini that I’m using for torrents, which has triggered a series of alerts on my phone for “Malware Activity”. I’d like try autoblocking those flows and skipping the alerts. Like if I block them but the Mac gets what it needs from non-malware IPs, that seems like the best scenario, and I don’t want to be alerted every time something is blocked.

I tried setting Device Active Protect to Strict, but this Mac isn’t even listed in the DAP devices, so I think I’m barking up the wrong tree.

Hi! Hobbyist here, new to homelabs. I‘m looking to try various things and learn along the way.

I have this old 2012 Intel Mac Mini. I think it was highly spec’d for the time, like 16gb Ram and an i7, and I installed an old 500GB Samsung SSD in there. So it’s old, but not terrible.

Just wondering which OS you’d recommend. I’m comfortable in both MacOs and Linux, comfortable using CLI and such. Maybe there’s no right answer, but just wondering if there’s a strong case for either.
