Nasvet glede menjave smeri v IT

Najbolj me zanimata networking in cybersecurity.

Kicks with foot prepositioned out instead of pivoting during kick?

I have been training for about a year. When I first started I was told to lift to the ball of the feet, and I did that at the start. But now I kick where instead of going on the ball of my foot, and letting my foot naturally pivot during the kick, I just preplace my foot to where its pointed around 90 degrees out from my stance, so if my left foot is forward in orthodox stance, when I throw a middle kick, I turn the foot 90 degrees to the left just before I let the kick go.

I find it much more comfortable and natural, but this is probably because I've been doing it this way for most of my training. I have tried to do the classic way with pivoting when hitting the bag before training starts, but I find that its kinda hard to pivot because its like there is a lot of friction between the mat and the ball of my feet, and it feels alot slower and less smoth because of this.

I've been wondering if I should just keep practicing kicking with a pivot and relearning it, or if I can continue to kick like this without downsides, like is this less powerful that a pivot or something like that.

I saw that petrosyan also kicks like this (at least sometimes) and also heard bas rutten talking about it, thats probably where I got it from, but whenever I watch thai fighters theyre all pivoting.
