Weird spasms

He’s been doing these weird spasms where he almost tries to escape arms, like jerks his entire body, when he’s about to go to sleep... and I feel he does this more with me than with anyone else who holds him. He basically suddenly straightens his whole body and it’s almost like he’s jerking forward to escape it. And no one else knows what I’m talking about even tho my mom, husbands mom, me and my husband all split his care almost evenly for now as he needs to be held right 24/7. anyone have any experience with what i’m talking about? his head literally slams into my chin it’s so forceful? but it doesn’t always happen

I’m the mom & I should be able to do this alone but I’m not…

I literally can’t do shifts anymore. He sleeps upright on us, on his back causes him significant discomfort even though he can lie down on his back to play, sleep is a different issue he refluxes while asleep which wakes him up. We have the SNOO and he still can’t stay asleep. Before every feed we have to use the hydrasense on his nose, give Ovol drops, do bicycle legs. And every feed is a war, I’ve stopped forcing him to take the bottle now. So I just cannot do shifts and the guilt is killing me bc my husband has work.

We’re lucky in the sense that my parents and his mom come during the day so he can get a good 6 hour stretch after work. Then at night he stays up I wake up every 1.5-2 hours to help. He can’t wake up once asleep that’s why he stays up. During the week his mom comes at 8 am and he has to log in at 9 am so he sleeps around 5 pm after work when my parents come and they can’t come everyday, plus his mom works in a school so starts again in September…

Shifts were working the first month before his symptoms became like this… I guess just need some sort of a “you’re not a bad person for needing him during this” because as a mom I feel incompetent...

Alimentum RTF to Neocate?

Hi, what were your signs that Alimentum isn’t working? My son did great the first couple of days and then got a viral illness from me (ugh) and is back to not doing the best on it. Sometimes he’s screaming at the bottle again. The doc wants us to keep trying this for another week just to be sure the illness isn’t the reason why he’s started having his episodes again. and then she wants us to give nutramigen a go but i do not want to change formulas so many times. I’d rather just go to the amino acid one. But how do you know it’s time to give up on these extensively hydrolized ones?

Thanks in advance

GERD & CMPA… but nothing is working.

He’s 2 months old tomorrow, has been on reflux medicine for three weeks, still is waking up in pain which is stopping him from being able to stay asleep. He wakes up and throws up. I guess it’s a bit better since I eliminated dairy from my diet and started Similac Alimentum a week+ ago but nothing crazy...

Any advice would be appreciated… and any happy stories…

Symptoms include back arching, squirming, inconsolable, coughing, sneezing, rash on eyebrows sometimes there sometimes isn’t, spit up, vomit, congestion, have to hold him up at all times for comfy sleep.

The worst part is when he isn’t in pain he loves to lie down and play around he looooves it. It breaks my heart

edit: he developed a breast aversion 3 weeks ago and now is having a bottle aversion too i’m lost and barely have time to pump what with the upright holding for him to have some sleep. he screams at my breasts now he’s screaming at the bottle the same way
