Got scheduled even though I have a trip and requested days off weeks in advanced
So, I wrote a note 2 weeks ago saying that I will be on a trip from July 5-11. It’s a mandatory trip with my summer job. My manager told me that if she’s not there, write a note. I worked 4-9:30 and I was already working overtime. I was hurrying to leave, so I wrote a note with my fill name, the days I need off, and the reason why. Yesterday, right before closing, I looked at the schedule and it said I work Monday and Wednesday. I’m confused because I made sure the not was visible for any manager to see. It was placed right on the keyboard. I made a little note on the schedule that I couldn’t work those days. We don’t open until 10 and I’ll be somewhere where there’s little to no service, so I can’t make a call.
There was one other time I didn’t show up because I was told I worked one day when I worked two, but I didn’t get terminated. I just didn’t get scheduled the following week. How many unexcused absences can I even get? Im thinking about having my mom call to tell them cause I can’t get fired. 😭
