Do you all mind if passengers help load bags into the overheads?

My last flight from CAK to SRQ was on Allegiant and I just cannot stand when there is an elderly person or short lady, kid, whatever having issues putting baggage into the overheads. Personally I hate inefficiency and while the FA's are few and far between, I happened to be in a good place to help. My wife just rolls her eyes and says "here he goes again!" and I pop up and put 4-5 bags in the overhead, wheels first, just to move traffic along so we can get off the friggin ground on time.

The FA back at the exit row (who was a little on the short side) joked about me applying but I just want to get to Florida on time. Was it cool that I helped? I don't want to cross a line and want the FA's to know there are passengers who want to help. But she was snippy and i felt like maybe she didn't approve? I dunno maybe I am reading too much into this.

The OZ Constipation.

Before I was a "go three times a day" fella. (Gross but relevant.)

Now, I just went for the first time since Friday (it's Tuesday) and this is with the aid of Fleet, Citrucel, stool softener stimulant and prayers. Today I went and it was a marvel. Longer than my forearm and dense. But MAN the straining, rocking and bartering to just go I like I used to.

I really do not like this side effect and the constant maintenance of taking supplements to just go makes this really unattractive. I am down 30+ lbs but i wish I could go more.

Anyone else having this issue?

What is this thing in my parents house

*** edit ***

My dad said this hung in the Cleveland office of the Ohio Bell company for 75 years. My grandpa worked at that place and when he retired they gave it to him.

Just needed to share a win. I hit my interim goal! A MONTH EARLY

Yall. i received my wake up call in November from my doc.

"You are now diabetic." Fuck. I was 6-1 270. Drinking. Still went to gym 5 days a week but it wasn't working. A1C 7.8, 150 glucose. Spiraling. My body type was chewed bubble gum. I looked like a polish Tony Soprano. 42 waist. Barrel chested.

I was assigned an endocrinologist as my regular doctor was useless. She started me on metformin, i was already on BP meds and cholesterol meds. The old guy cocktail. She suggested OZ and i disregarded that. But i was still not making progress. I did NOT want to use OZ. Then after the new year i said F it let's do it.

Started .25 OZ 2/1. Upped to .50. Nausea. Constipation. Gross. Had a nutritionist that I was assigned who set my macros using the app Cronometer. My caloric intake averages 1500 or less. I was at least 3000+ last year. My overall goal was 237 my my 6/5 check in appt.

April appt new bloodwork showed A1C 7.8 down to 6.6. Sugar 150 down to 110. BP normal for the first time in 10 years. Cholesterol normal. Convo had about removing those meds.

This week i broke into the 230's. Today i hit my goal a month early. 237. Waist now 36 loose. I need suspenders. 2Xl to XL. Shit my watch fits better.

FUCK YEAH. New goal of 220 and maintaining by August 1. I think I can do this. I should be off most meds save for OZ. I wasn't lazy, i was just not motivated. Now I am.

Thanks for listening. And thank you for the support. I appreciate you all.

I was 1 of 4 sibs. I grew up in the 70's and 80's.

My dad worked, mom stayed at home. We had ants in the house because "we live in the country". If you wore socks you could see the fleas jumping on your feet. I have a scar on my right arm from impetigo from being dirty. Once I broke my arm from running around in the yard and my mother said "quit faking it you just sprained it." It was green and purple and a week later a visit to the ER confirmed it was broken.

I had a comb that was ivory colored and between the teeth it accumulated dirt. I had cavities.

My mom generally kept the house clean and vacuumed and mopped and what not, but looking back how could she let her kids get covered in fleas IN the house? That's not normal.

They never taught me about hygiene, they just said "go take a shower". I didn't know you were supposed to wash your backside. I didn't know going to bed dirty was unhygienic.

That has all changed as an adult; i don't forgive my parents for this. Teaching your kids how to clean their butts should be basic.

I think we were the dirty kids in school.
