Dynamic of the trio (because I love it)

Hi everyone, would like to have something new to discuss with everyone in this sub besides waiting for their debut (hopefully soon)

Since Sakura being announced to be joined in the group and Saint Satine as the group name for almost half year, I would like to see how everyone see their trio dynamic?

For Emily and Samara, they've been known each other for how many years? should be four right? Their experience in dream academy and preparing for Saint Satine (from Prelude to StS) really build them a strong bond. They truly feel like friends of same age (haven't watch their game live lol but will soon watch it, saw some clips and they were funny)

For Sakura, she now had knew the others two for almost a year. I remember seeing her letter for Samara's birthday on how she mentioned year ago she still not yet met her and now, they already lived together for nearly a year and preparing for their debut.

Emily and Sakura, I always saw how fans describing they are like big sister and little sister and it showed in their ig clips (love the one they spinning lol) and I remember before final piece announced, everyone hoping for an extrovert girl to join the group so Emily has someone to have fun with and here is Sakura.

Their live on drawing each other has potential on being an iconic predebut clips (the reaction on revealing each other drawing was so much fun lol) What makes it even fun was later they posted the clip of them showing the drawing to Samara and see her reaction, and that was also peak ( I love Samara big laugh lol)

I feel like Sakura was so relax around Emily and how they interact (like pat each other's knees to catch attention on starting new topic) show how comfortable they are with each other.

Then Sakura and Samara, I feel like this is a duo potentially became the trolling/funniest duo of this group. I remembered Sakura described Samara as the one who look cool outside but actually is so fun, has a sense of humor in her post-Prelude episode interview. And it showed in their weverse live and also some clips (especially the latest one). I kind of get the vibe between these two as trolling and joking around type and it was also so good and funny.

Their dynamics really shown in their recent weverses live and also ig reels, just cannot wait for their official debut.

Saint Satine’s Correlation with Santos Bravos

Disclaimer: I've watched all episodes of World Scout and seen some of the performances of Emily and Samara during DA. I recently watched the SANTOS BRAVOS program and learned about some of the boys’ debut stories.

Because of their recent video shoot together, I leant more about Santos Bravos. I had a feeling that these two groups have much more in common than we initially thought.

I remember many people were confused about the group name when it was announced, and many questioned its meaning. But after seeing the recent collaboration between the girls and Santos Bravos, it suddenly clicked for me that maybe the idea of producing twin-like groups has been planned by Hype all along.

Just from the group names, you can see their similarity. So, dare I say, "Saint Satine" as a group name was intentional. If I’m not mistaken, World Scout and SANTOS BRAVOS both started in 2025. While World Scout accepted applications around July or August 2025, SANTOS BRAVOS started their training around March that same year.

Apart from the group names, the member compositions also show some parallels. There’s a meme video comparing the three boys as a gender-bent version of Saint Satine’s girls: a blonde, a Brazilian vocalist, and a maknae. Beyond their appearances, I saw posts in this sub discussing whether Saint Satine was originally formed because of Lexie. Some of the opinions there resonated with me.

Yes, Lexie was highly praised by Bang, but Emily and Samara also received a lot of praise from other important producers. That post reminded me that Samara was the only pre-debut DA candidate to collaborate with other idols, and Emily has consistently been praised and valued by the production team. This gave me the impression that Emily and Samara are more valued by Hype itself.

Moreover, I think the production team probably knew Emily and Samara couldn't debut in Katseye when they approached to the final performance (due to insufficient fan votes and the controversies at the time). But deep down, they were still strongly committed to debuting both. At that time, though, they needed to see how their first international girl group would perform in the market, so they let them pursue solo projects before the Prelude announcement.

Once they had a plan in mind and full control (with no fan voting involved), they immediately invited both Emily and Samara, alongside Lexie. Many say Lexie has ultimate star power and visual appeal, as well as solid skills and a similar height to Emily and Samara. But after letting Lexie go in this summer yet continuing to develop Saint Satine as a group, I wonder about the weight Lexie holds in the group or in Hype's vision.

Now, I’d like to bring up Santos Bravos, which is the main purpose of this post: discussing how I see a correlation between the two groups.

After watching the whole program and reading discussion posts, I noticed an ideal group image throughout the show. Some candidates seemed almost guaranteed debut spots. (Reminder: SANTOS BRAVOS also didn’t involve fan voting.)

The first member annoucced for the final line up was Kaue, then Gabi. These two are major reasons why Saint Satine has been compared to Santos Bravos, as they represent obvious parallels in look and position—a black Brazilian vocalist and a blonde dancer. They were also among the members who seemed to be producer/Hybe favorites during the show.

Kaue, a stable and well-rounded member with strong vocal skills and stage presence, didn’t have much screen time, but most audiences expected his debut. Gabi was introduced late but quickly gained recognition as a guaranteed spot among fans. Gabi was actually second to be called for the debut. If we consider the announcement sequence as a ranking, I didn’t think his skillset warranted such a high position, so his early call surprised me. But if the theory that Hybe wanted to build the group around him like the audience discussed, it makes sense. (Plus, he is the group's visual post-debut.)

Applying my theory in parallel between Saint Satine and Santos Bravos, Lexie would parallel to Alejandro—another all-rounded candidate with a huge fan base and strong visuals, essentially the same position we think Lexie would occupy in Saint Satine. Then we have Sakura as the final piece, and Kenneth—who had just turned 16—was announced last as a member of Santos Bravos. Both are maknaes and minors of their respective groups. I know many might argue Kenneth has strong skills despite his age, but I think Hybe intentionally emphasized his age in documentaries and interviews. The young maknae concept in a K-pop style idol group seems central to their ideal for an international group. (Drew is the only one that not having a parallel in Saint Satine but I think it's fine, or likely his position as leader and main dancer of the group, was also reflecting Emily in Saint Satine)

With this case, it makes more sense that Emily and Samara are like Kaue and Gabi for their group—they are the backbone or core of Saint Satine's formation. (Of course, as the group develops, this may change, like how Kenneth may grow into a more center position.) These two groups’ lineups are fully controlled by Hybe producers, with no fan voting involved.

Given their parallel group names, I think Hybe may have planned for these two groups to collaborate more in the future after Saint Satine officially debuts. And dare I say, even before Saint Satine’s debut, they have already filmed many videos together in a short time. I feel like Santos Bravos has filmed more videos with Saint Satine than with any other groups.

I also found a few interesting details worth mentioning. Emily and Samara were the only members wearing skirts during their respective final DA performances—Girls Don't Like and Dirty Water. This made me wonder if Hybe had a particular image in mind for them, perhaps a more girly or feminine concept. Thinking about how this might relate to Saint Satine’s concept, the group name suggests a pure, clean, and elegant image. I remember Son describing Satine as "silk," which evokes something smooth and refined.

Also, I really like their style changes recently, especially after Lexie left. Samara’s new hairstyle caught my eye as a nice, fresh update. I’ve enjoyed their duo live streams on Weverse too. Surprisingly, Sakura interacts really well with both Emily and Samara—in a sisterly, casual, and chill way that feels very natural. One video that stood out was when Sakura and Emily showed their paintings of each other to Samara, and her reaction was so lovely and funny. It was a heartwarming moment that really showed their close bond.

What are your thoughts? Sorry for such a long post, and since English is not my first language, I hope my wording isn’t offensive to anyone.
