how do you know it’s a poor job fit?

switched jobs recently. i was doing something completely different before this. my current job has nothing to do with my degree, so it’s basically starting from scratch but treated like i should know some things. i guess some skills are transferable, but the feeling of not knowing anything and not knowing who to approach (everyone looks overwhelmed) in this job, coupled with the steep learning curve is very frustrating.

this is honestly a good place to work, people are decent, wlb can be achieved and work is predictable. but i just can’t see myself caring about the work i’m doing. i just don’t give a shit. but does anyone even feel passionate about a corporate job? some aspects of the jobs are interesting, but in a fun and fleeting way, not in an intrinsically motivating way.

i know i should be thankful i even have a job in this economy, but i’ve been thinking of quitting since day 2. how do you know if this is just something that needs time to work itself out, or it’s a poor job fit? i think a desk job is really not for me, but idk if i’m just too quick to give up. why am i spending the best years of my life bound to a laptop and desk? every day i feel like i’m surrounded by npcs.

i really wanna quit, but i need money. and i don’t want to look for a new job when i have plans to do a working holiday in the near future. what would you do if you were in my shoes?

Repeated notifications

Anybody also gets recurring text message notifications (specifically iOS) on their Pace 3, even if they’ve been opened on my phone and cleared on the watch? Any fixes for this?
