First ply on my wee peggy

I posted a few weeks ago when i first got my wee peggy.

I had a bit of fun (!) working out the tension, and as you can see in one pic, it was rather off for the first 10-15ish meters.

Main ply is white huacaya and white / pale fawn cria (same animal).

Contrast ply is white huacaya and assorted suri fleece (coffee, caramel and fawn).

There were a few experimental attempts with fibre prep going on so ovetall very very happy with how it turned out.

First spin on refurbished Wee Peggy

Purchased a refurbished Wee Peggy after loathing the tradtional style wheel I had for a bit.

This is my first real spinning in nearly 2 years! And am thrilled with how it ia turning out!

Cream is huacaya alpaca (which is both adult and cria fleece from the same animal), with the cafe latte/nut brown being suri alpaca.

Very happy with it all :)

Success! Caught everything... but a fish

So far:

3 leaves

A twig

Several rocks

A snag

A flat tyre (been 20yrs but I remembered how to change a tyre)

My own rod

Impressively, on my 3rd attempt I tried hooks instead of lures. The fish appreciated their easy dinner!

Annoyingly, the guys on either side of me caught larger barramundi.

Try again next week lol

I have a bathroom that looks like a drunkfest of rabid old grandmas trashed it.

I want to do some basic patchup renos to make it basic and usable until I get the $$$. I have seen those all in one shower pods and am interested in installing one for a year or so until I finish all the other jobs scheduled before I can get the bathroom done. Has anyone had one of these?

And yes, its double handling the reno but holy moses its absolutely worth it considering the abysmal condition of that room lol.
