Cobble Hill “Brambly Hedge / Picnic Preparations” - st by Jill Barklem, 500pcs
I absolutely loved this illustration. A fun build for a few hours.

I absolutely loved this illustration. A fun build for a few hours.
This is my second Heye puzzle by this artist. I love all the little details and people and their personalities, and famous people/characters.
I had recently posted a Pieces & Peace puzzle with this artist’s work, and I loved it so much I went hunting for more and bought this one off eBay. It was a pleasure to do.
This is my first KI puzzle. Quality is equivalent to Ceaco.
The tree foliage gave me trouble, but I got it done!
After weeks of looking and looking and seeing the same old, tired puzzles, my local Homegoods finally came through with some new Hobbry and eeBoo. I just checked mid last week and there was nothing, and today there were just three Hobbry - two being the exact ones I wanted. The Alchemist’s Home and Open for Business were also on my wishlist. I can stop whining now.
Which one to do first?
Another fun Heye. I like busy images! The green was the last as it was the hardest. There are tiny gremlins all over the picture.
As a tea person, I gravitated towards this beautiful art. Took a few hours to complete and it’s a keeper for me.
I see why you guys love Holiyay. The pieces fitting snugly together was very pleasing. I love the soft touch pieces.
I had some trouble with false fits in the gray at the bottom, but they were not a deal breaker.
My first StoPuzzle. I really like the art and was pleased with the snug fit. No real problem with false fits.
The dark areas have subtle pattern differences that were hard to capture with my phone camera. I need better lighting because I had to hold my trays up to the window to see the subtle differences to match them to the right area.
Flimsy box.
The brown areas gave me some trouble and I saved the top left for last, but I got it done. Lovely illustration - a bit darker and muddier than the box art.
This was so fun to do. All the people have personalities and little details. Some recognizable faces are in there, too. I’m not a fan of the triangle box design.
This was such a fun puzzle to do. I’m a graphic designer and love illustrations. I am still finding all the little people and what they are doing. I also bought the Tokyo version of this series.
I finally bought an actual puzzle board to work on. I had been using a makeshift board on a card table, but constantly looking down was hurting my neck. I have scoliosis and spinal fusion. The puzzle board I chose is the Whimsy Puzzle Board by The Puzzled Tree. I like the high adjustable angle. I intend to do a review of it after I’ve assembled a paper-backed style puzzle to really test how grippy the surface is. It’s a suede fabric, not felt.
Found this at TJ Maxx last night, finished it this morning. Cute, but I hope to exchange it at a puzzle swap later today.
I really love the illustration and the little details. A quick, fun puzzle and a keeper for me.
Very fun - my first Cobble Hill puzzle. I like the piece shapes and the linen feel.
This is my second Heye / Burgerman. I love the playful, silly artwork. This was a fun afternoon puzzle.
I received this back in the early 1980s.
Up until recently I was limited to a small card table that could fit a 500 piece puzzle comfortably, but I wanted space for 1000 pieces puzzles I really wanted. (Pic shows Ceaco 300 piece “Greenhouse” by Tracy Flickinger.)
I did not want to spend the money on fancy puzzling boards (because this sub has me blowing money on puzzles, lol). So I went to Home Depot and bought a $20 4x4’ (I think it’s called an underlayment) board and had them cut it to 3x4. It’s smooth and light, and I can just lean it up against the wall if I want to use the table’s top. I just spray painted it so it looks nicer. I have tea, a podcast, a couple of my dogs at my feet, a pleasant view from the window, and I’m good.
I’d like to see what setups others have!
This was a $2 yard sale find, unopened, and my first Boardwalk puzzle. Puzzle pieces are nice and thick, but I do not like how easily they come apart.
