Spain in October, Japan in November
Hello all — need some advice from more experienced travelers to countries that require visas for Filipinos.
I have two upcoming trips this year:
* Spain / Europe - October 12 to October 28
* Japan - November 21 to 28
This would be my first trip to either of these destinations.
Both of these were announced around the same time (I knew about the Japan trip first) and the planning was out of my control — so rescheduling would be difficult / downright impossible.
My question is — how should I go about the visa applications for both destinations?
Google says:
* Spain — “Typically takes 15 calendar days (or about 5 to 15 working days) to process. However, occasionally takes up to 30 or 45 calendar days.”
* Japan — “Typically takes 5 to 10 business days when processed smoothly. However, can also take several weeks to 2 months.”
I currently have a schedule at VFS for the Japan visa next Monday. This was booked before I found out I may be going to Spain.
* Should I proceed with the Japan visa processing and then apply for a Schengen visa for Spain afterwards?
* Should I forego the Japan visa for now and focus on the Schengen visa first?
* Would it be cutting it too close to apply for both and should I just skip one of the destinations?
Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated. 🙏🏼
