SK trip 100USD pocket money

Would 100 USD be enough na? Excluded na po yung transpo Kasi we have a private car (may senior po na kasama) and breakfast. Won't be spending that much naman sa mga souvenir maybe sa stationary if I see something that I like. It's a 5 days trip po

Edit: excluding food na po

Upcoming VIETNAM trip

Hi! My fiancé (32M) and I (26F) are going to Sapa and Hanoi this November, and planning the itinerary has been so overwhelming 😭 Could you help me out and let me know if the itinerary in the picture below is realistic for just one day? Also, if needed, could you help redo or reorganize it?

Driving around Tuscany?

Hello! We’re planning a trip to the Tuscany region. No specific plans yet but we’re considering exploring Florence, Pisa, Siena, etc. We’re thinking of staying in the area for 4-5 days.

Based on my research, the best way to explore is to rent a car and drive. But I also read that driving in Italy may be an experience in itself 😅

Has anyone tried driving in Italy? How was your experience and how is it different from driving in Manila? Any trusted car rentals? Seeking your tips in general.

Thank you!

Is it better to stay in Alishan first or just book around Taipei/Ximending?

Hello po! We’re planning to go to Taiwan this July and first time travelers po kami (7 days) 🥹 I know rainy season po siya, pero iyon lang talaga available time ng kapatid ko kaya doon na po namin balak pumunta. Wala naman po kaming kasamang kids or senior citizens and we’re only 3 pax.

Mas okay po ba if unahin muna namin yung Alishan area? Like doon muna kami mag-book ng hotel for around 3 days, then yung remaining days around Taipei Main Station or Ximending area na lang po? Or mas okay po na sa Taipei na lang kami mag-stay the whole trip? Thank you so much po!

I'm planning to book a hotel na this weekend and fill out the application form.

I do need some clarification kasi contrasting statements naririnig ko:

Sa Bank Certificate po, pwede ang addressee is:

Eto kasi nakalagay sa pinagawa ko sa bank. Accepted po kaya to? First time applying for Visa.

Additionally, required pa po ba ang cover letter? And did I miss any requirements po?

Maybe stupid question.. but does fuel surcharge apply to foreign airlines as well? Planning to book from Jeju Air to Seoul

I cant find an exact answer online but maybe any of you know. I was thinking of waiting until the next advisory to wait for possible decrease on fuel surcharge or should I just buy tickets now?

Qantas Airways from Manila to Sydney

Anyone tried travelling with Qantas from Manila to Sydney around late June?

I’m moving to Sydney on the last week of June and booked Economy already, but unfortunately no exit row seats were available anymore.

I tried bidding AUD 800 for a Business Class upgrade (separate from the actual economy ticket price).

Any success stories with Qantas Bid Now upgrades for MNL-SYD? Especially for cash bids only and no status.

Also, are flights usually very full around late June? Hoping sana na hindi gaano busy so i could have a real chance na makuha ung business at a low price (AUD 700 was the minimum bid required).

Thanks!

Money exchange in Taiwan

Good evening.

Explore CatCat Village with senior parents

Is there a way to explore Cat Cat village without going through all the stairs? Contemplatinv pa kami if isasama namin sya to our Sapa itinerary because of this. My siblings and I prefer the rainbow slide sa catcat. But we wouldni bother to go there just for the slide if hindi naman makakasama parents namin

Should we perhaps do the one in green valley na lang? I believe katabi lang sya nung glass bridge and we are going there din naman

Chinese Visa Application Notes (Filipino Passport Holder, Manila)

Just thought I'd put this here because I couldn't find similar posts before i applied for my Chinese Visa.

Flight: June 8, 2026
Fourth time to apply. last time was 14 years ago (2012)
Applying for Single Entry
Docs submitted online are: passport pages, previous Chinese Visas, itinerary, hotel booking, flights
Docs submitted in person: passport, application form, one pc. chinese visa sized photo, photocopy of passport information page, photocopy of all previous chinese visas, hotel booking, flights, itinerary. they declined to receive my bank cert which i DID NOT submit online (because it wasnt required for repeat applicants) but brought with me nonetheless.

May 13 - Fully submitted online application
May 19 - "Online Review Completed" status (Received email at 9 AM)

May 20 - Visited China Visa Center in Makati
7:45 am - arrived Dela Rosa Parking 1 (easy to park)
7:55 am - arrived at the guard station (6th floor) of the visa center. Issued "initial" queue number, 94. went out for coffee and to withdraw money.
8:45 am - arrived back at guard station (6th floor) where security checks were already being done by initial queue number, so i found my place in line (again, 94, yes there are 93 people in front of me more or less)
8:55 am - entered the visa center where there is a queue in the same order for initial document inspection
9:14 am - arrived at initial document inspection. Issued a formal queue number, I-018. The queue stub indicates how many people in front of you that have NOT been served yet, and there were 7 people in front of me unserved at this point (last served was I-011). i guess there is a different queue depending on whether youre agency or individual etc. idk.

IMPORTANT: I asked the lady if there is a way to pay VIP meaning i jump the queue (not to be confused with the rush fee where you get your passport back faster), the lady said you pay 1800++ (I dont remember the exact amount) to skip the SUBMISSION QUEUE but this does not entitle you to skip the CASHIER QUEUE. I opted not to skip the submission queue.

9:23 am - my queue number is called at window 14, my documents were processed in 2 minutes.

IMPORTANT: I was offered to SKIP CASHIER QUEUE for 1800++ (again i don't remember the exact amount). I asked how many were in front of me in the cashier queue, she said 27 people (definitely more than 27 applications, some people were holding 20 passports because some of these people are agency people) and she said it may take 1.5-2.5 hours. I paid the skip cashier queue. she took me straight to the cashier and I paid the visa fee and the skip the cashier queue fee.

IMPORTANT: I asked the document submission officer what time the most ideal time is to submit, she said "after lunch, even at 3pm" is the best time because the hall is literally "empty" because most agency applications arrive in the morning.

IMPORTANT: I asked the cashier what the best time to pickup the passport is, she said 3pm, and you don't need a letter of authority if you're asking someone else to pick it up as long as they have the claim stub.

9:26 am - i left the visa office.

Pickup is scheduled on May 25 as indicated on the claim stub. i'll update you guys.

Honest opinion, if youre just gonna skip the line anyway, just have a travel agency do it for you. I did the application myself because i thought they needed to get my fingerprints. They never did.

Angola is now visa-free for Filipinos.

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine passport holders may visit Angola for up to 30 days without a visa, the Department of Tourism (DOT) said.

The DOT recently announced that Angola’s tourist visa exemption now applies to Filipinos.

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) later confirmed this arrangement with the Angolan government.

For context, the Embassy of Angola in Manila informed the DFA on 6 March of the visa-free entry arrangement for Filipino tourists for short-term stay of up to 30 days,” DFA told Inquirer.

Apart from 30-day stays per visit, the visa-free travel to Angola only allows a total of 90 days per year.

Angola is a country in southwestern Africa known for its diamond reserves, Atlantic coastline, and Portuguese colonial heritage. Its capital, Luanda, is one of Africa’s largest cities.

Angola is also home to diverse wildlife, national parks, and natural attractions such as the Kalandula Falls and the Namib Desert. /dl
