Is Php 50,000 enough as pocket money for 17 days in Vietnam 🇻🇳

I just resigned for my mental health 😂 and booked a solo trip that would allow me to reset a bit before I get back to being responsible…. I guess I’d love to plan this trip in a way that won’t be too expensive.

So, is 50,000 pesos enough pocket money for food, cafes, grab, tours & some semi-minimal shopping? Or should I increase it? (Considering I have already booked & paid all my hotels & domestic flights in between bases, & that I’m planning to have some slow days in between where I absolutely do nothing but dine.

Some deets about my planned route:
- 4 nights in Saigon
- 3 Nights in Hoi An
- 2 Nights in Danang
- 6 nights in Hanoi
- 2 nights in Ninh Binh

About me & what I want/dont want from this trip overall:
- I kinda want a bit of a slow-paced trip (with some time for just doing nothing in some days within those bases I have selected)
- In Danang I won’t do Banaa Hills(?)
- I’m skipping Ha Long Bay
- The most expensive things I might want to do are probably just a beach access & lunch at Intercontinental Danang & probably a Night Cruise with Dinner in Saigon.
- I might be tempted to do some small shopping & pasalubong from Lotte
- and a bit of some experiential tours (which ones are not worth it ba)

Anyway, I’d love some guidance from you guys who have already been to Vietnam cause I honestly thought this would be a cheaper trip but I’ve already booked 25k worth of hotels. (Nothing fancy), so I’m kinda second guessing the budget for the rest of the trip.

17 Days in Vietnam: Itinerary Critique please (HCMN > Hoi An > Da Nang > Hanoi

Hey everyone! First time in Vietnam, 17 days total, and I could use some outside eyes on my pacing before I lock things in. Here's the rough breakdown:

  • HCMC: 4 nights (Sep 3-7)
  • Hoi An: 3 nights (Sep 7-10)
  • Da Nang: 2 nights (Sep 10-12)
  • Hanoi: 7 nights (Sep 12-19)

For Da Nang I'm keeping it completely unplanned, no itinerary just booking a hotel next to the beach and wing it (I just wanna chill)

Also, I specifically moved the day around that one Sunday (13th) in Hanoi because I wanted to go to the Sunday Gem-stone market and I really don't want to miss it lol. From there I'm doing a Ninh Binh day trip, then an overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay, and keeping the rest flexible/spontaneous in Hanoi.

Would really appreciate any thoughts. Does this feel balanced, or am I over/under-allocating time somewhere?

Is 60k PHP enough for 14 days in Vietnam?

Doing a Solo trip to HCM, Hoi An & Hanoi for 14 days in total. Planning a budget of 60k for the duration of the trip (pocket money & hotels), is it doable?
